Zenigundam
Watching it on Spike. So bad. Sadly, Generation Z probably thinks it's awesome. :'(

Vamped
They kept showing him ... well what was left of him out of the suit. He was like ... I never wanna see myself like this ... then they show it like 3 more times It was too many amputation shots for me. I also thought it was stupid they let him keep his real person hand. Danger_Jules
They basically neutered Murphy's story and had it get injured from a car bomb instead of breaking up a drug ring. So, yeah, of course it's shitty.

Gammenon
Yeah, it was pretty aimless. It seems it was only made to upgrade the special effects of the original but nothing else...except the Sam L. Jackson talk show arc but that was pretty dumb. And Michael Keaton just didn't/doesn't pass off as a convincing bad guy.

And Michael Keaton just didn't/doesn't pass off as a convincing bad guy. And the director was overly concerned with Murphy's relationship to his family. RoboCop is supposed to be an action franchise and the sappy elements they tried to overpower it with were so forced and clichéd.
Gammenon
You know what, that's true. When I said it was aimless, I meant this film lost the feel of the original. The director did do the carnal sin in making remakes, which is making that movie as their own creation and not what made the original popular. It looks like he went social commentary on the audience. I hate that stuff.
Zenigundam
Yeah exactly. The whole Murphy will never be Murphy again and can't be a husband or father to his wife and son in the original is an important aside to the other enjoyable elements of the movie, but it isn't overbearing and forced on the audience like it is in the reboot. Action movies are much better when some stupid, unimportant romance doesn't take over for stretches like it tends to in a lot of modern films.
