It's often referenced that Cubone wears the skull of its dead mother.  So if you take a female Cubone or Marowak to the Pokemon breeders in any gen that has breeding and you pair it with either a male or a Ditto, does that mean the mother will die when you get the first egg?

no, but that would be super morbid

i think in the original game it was intended that cubone's mother was a kangaskhan, before all the rules of breeding and evolution and stuff were locked in
