mochi
someone came up with a theory that as I read it, makes a lot of sense, and would explain a few inconsistencies Spoiler the theory is that Deku DID have a quirk of his own....but that all-might's nemesis (who hasn't yet appeared on toonami), took it away, then erased Deku and his mother's memories of the quirk for starters, the doctor who informed Deku and his mother that he is quirkless was then shown talking to All-might's nemesis as well as it being VERY odd that Deku's mother delivers that line implying disappointment in him for being quirkless (y'know the line that made you all say she was a horrible mother before you actually got to see her all paunchy and middle aged and realized she was a wonderful mom) so it's possible either this event never happened but they now both remember it happening due to their memories being tampered with, or that she actually said what Deku wanted to hear here, but her cruel line now replaces what she really said in their memories for the same above reason secondarily the person noted Deku's Tears look really really weird compared to his mom's in that flashback, hers are clear, his are Opaque and much thicker, so that could be an echo of whatever his original quirk was still surviving in his memories
Daos
That seems ridiculous. Deku was a nobody and his parents were nobodies. He'd never met All Might. So the theory is he had a quirk but then they managed to alter the memories of everyone that would have known about it? Seems far fetched. PokeNirvash
Deku's real quirk is the ability to cry greater amounts than the average person, but it's so extremely subtle it could be mistaken for quirklessness at the first hundred glances.
