Conan O'Brien takes on Detective Conan

You know, I always used to wonder back when Cased Closed was on Adult Swim if Mr. O'Brien had any knowledge of this character at all.

Well, as it turns out, he didn't and it took the establishment of an entire town dedicated to little Conan for him to take notice.

I knew they were setting up a Conan Goes to Japan episode. 

Actually Case Closed did get named dropped on Conan way back in the day in a Pierre Bernard's Recliner of Rage segment back on Late Night. (Way back when anime was on weeknights and Bebop got replaced by Case Closed.)

I should've known this was all leading up to Conan going to Japan. You know there's also Conan the Barbarian.  Was that ever mentioned on his show?

I would love to see Conan talk about more anime too. He already played the new Dragonball Z game with guest Rob Funches.
