Sleep is for suckers.

I'm actually getting pretty tired now. But I don't want to go to bed at 6:00 AM.

Maybe its a lack of caffeine. Yesterday I had one cup of coffee and two cans of Mountain Dew, and that's it. I haven't had any caffeine since like 5:00 PM yesterday (the coffee was at like 11:00 AM). Maybe I can make myself a strong cup of coffee and wake up.

I couldn't read all that cause I was taking a nap. I'm a sucker.

I have been hired for a new facility that is in the process of opening up. The process of actually getting to me to my start date is very very slow, unfortunately. :( GODDAMMIT LET ME EARN PAYCHECKS

Oh in that case I'd just enjoy my time off

May as well just skip going to bed at this point. :|

I really hate those mornings

It was really bad in college where I'd think I could just stay awake and go to class and sleep after my classes... then I get tired like a hour before my classes started

xD I don't know how many other weakling metal musicians there are. But I am one. The irony being Manowar is one of my favorite bands.

It's funny I just posted this image in a zeni thread like 12 hours ago.

I'm not a big Man of War fan

I'm just kind of a fan of their lead singer because he did a cover of one of the Phantom of the Opera songs with some lady

Dude, Eric Adams is such a great singer.

It's weird. It took a LONG time for Manowar to click with me. And once they finally did start clicking with me, only two of their albums clicked with me right away. It was a long, gradual process of me becoming a fan, but by the end, I was hooked.

I think a big hurdle for getting into Manowar is that the production on those early records is just so bad. The bass guitar completely buries the guitar, and it just doesn't have that "crunch" that metal guitars need to have. It's a lot easier to appreciate them once you get past the idea that hey, these guitar tones aren't going to rip your head off like Master of Puppets. But the songwriting is there.

I guess another big hurdle a lot people have with Manowar is their lyrics and image. xD I don't know if that's true for you or not. Wouldn't surprise me.

If you're interested, I could give you a recommendation for a song or two if you are interested in giving them another chance.

Nah I'm not really big into metal to be honest.

I like the classics but that's about where I stop, I do dig me some Sabaton but I wouldn't really consider them metal it's more Hard Rock imo

Some people would consider Manowar one of the classics.... Debut album out in 1982. Manowar were far more popular in Europe than in America.

But that's cool. I was just offering because it took many tries with me but it was rewarding when it clicked. xD

I'd consider that classic but I never got into them

I mainly like Sabaton because I'm really into history and hearing a band jam about it is pretty fucking cool

I got exposed to Sabaton by way of the message boards at black-sabbath.com. A user there pointed out the riff in the first half of the Sabaton song Unbreakable is very similar to the first riff in Black Sabbath's A National Acrobat. After listening there's definitely a similarity, and I loved that song for it. I also really like the singer's voice a lot. But, aside form Unbreakable, their music just bores me. :| I really wish I liked their music because I like their singer a lot.
