(with a few potential exceptions, but there are other possible explanations for the WOW signal and KIC 8462852) The conditions that give rise to intelligent life must be so inordinately rare... How precious and fragile and amazing our lives actually are... -bump anyway; about a month or so ago a science channel I subscribed to on youtube did a video about it now you have to realize 1. we are not even a tier 1 civilization so we wont be able to reach tier 2 projects and tier 3 is only theory now another bigger answer to the fermi paradox could be answered using our own perspective take the cold war for example if it went another way we couldve potentially cleared out earth now we can potentially say another advanced race couldve faced similar problems we did before reaching tier and was their own downfall Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am subscribed to a channel that talked about this. Well, I'm subscribed to a few about the fermi paradox. But this one normally explains things quite simply for almost everyone. I prefer the notion that they're out there, they know we're here and they have no interest in talking to us because we're still so self destructive and they don't to help that get out into the cosmos.
