It was hard when I first played it out of curiosity in middle school, and it's still hard. Metroid: Zero Mission (The GBA remake of Metroid) was frickin easy imo. By far inferior to the OG.

I disgaree with inferior, they are just good in different ways.
molarbear Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Final Fantasy is a great game, I'd suggest playing the GBA version if you want to beat it during your lifetime though..... Otherwise you're in for the OG of RPG grinding.

Got it the day it came out and spent a good month going through everything including the extra dungeons and weapons and whatnot. I didn't realize the NES version would be so slow-paced. Battles take a good two-three minutes each. Think I would have loved it if I had been born in the late 70s/early 80s, still find it very fun.
