  1. That's a spoiler in terms of the story and the character. A character and their development is a spoiler. And especially say if a character has a big moral change or switches sides or something of that sort that's an even bigger spoiler if something like that is given away. So yeah.
  2. Doesn't change the fact that Genndy still doesn't like Toonami and didn't want Samurai Jack on it!
  3. Maybe their pussification explains editing the Lucky Lecher Lure! Still inconsistent with all the other stuff that's been allowed to fly over the years, though! All I can come up with is because Shinra's hands went under Tamaki's clothes. What has been edited from Food Wars? Also I hear the fan service gets naturally toned down even in the uncut version (as it was in the manga, apparently) as it goes along. Whether through edits, or the series doing it on its own, talk about giving even less reasons to watch that show!
  4. I had assumed it was because of how "indestructible" the Androids were. Aspects of the Red Ribbon Saga, Androids, and Cell Sagas were seemingly inspired by Terminator. Red Ribbon Saga had Super Android 8, and Major Metallitron. Metallitron looked just like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator! I could be wrong, but that saga would probably line up with the original movie's release, and then with the Androids and Cell, it seems to hearken to Terminator II. With time travel and everything. So, the Androids have indestructible bodies like Terminators. They break out of handcuffs and tank bullets too, which seems just like something a Terminator would do. Though it makes me wonder what happened when Trunks tried to use the sword on his future Androids. Trunks did say the ones in the present were stronger. It could have something to do with the infinite energy, though. Her power level was also higher than Trunks too, so that could be part of it. Either way, it was done to show the power of the Androids, that they could easily whip all the Z Fighters, and even Trunks, who knows the most about them and is also a Super Saiyan himself, he and his mighty sword stood no chance either. I don't know if Toriyama was thinking that much about the mechanics of it, or at least didn't feel the need to explain it. I think the sword probably attains the power level of the person holding it. Toriyama never really went into this, but it's always been a thing in stories, and to an extent in the real world, that "true swordsmen are one with their weapon." So this is probably how it is in Dragon Ball. The person's ki flows through the sword, even if it's not visible. Maybe this was talked about with the power pole or other weapons earlier, but I can't remember. A lot of the important concepts were laid out in the original Dragon Ball and not referred to again. We didn't have flying explained again until when Gohan taught Videl and Goten. Trunks' sword was also supposed to come from Tapion, but according to a movie that's not canon. Doesn't say where it came from in canon, but I assume it was made by Bulma and probably of some super-strong material that she came up with or would be available to Capsule Corp. And Dabura is the Demon King and his sword was created, or summoned, by him, so wouldn't exactly be a normal sword, either. Well it's not that I think he held back on the energy on them. Regardless of energy level of the discs, they are supposed to cut through anything, regardless of the target's energy level, as well. More like Goku wasn't intending to hit Jiren with them, or knew Jiren could counter them anyway. He couldn't anyway because you can't kill in this tournament. He used them as a bluff and diversion, yeah. And it would have worked if Jiren hadn't jumped up fucking rubble lmao. Yeah GT definitely not canon, but looking back on it now, is probably more faithful than Super in a lot of ways, and creative with things too, like using the Tuffles, and making the final villains the Dragon Balls themselves was so fitting. I thought Goku was made into a kid to reboot and nerf his power level, but I didn't remember that incident, lol. Well like I said, you could train up each level to be stronger, and maybe you be could stronger at your Super Saiyan 1 to someone else who is noob at Super Saiyan 2, which is fine, but saying the others are just powered up versions of 1 and not their own, distinct forms, is bunk, lol. I think her hair is purple at times in the manga, and blue at others. I've seen a lineup of her looks over the years in the anime and it actually changes there too. Sometimes more green than blue. But I mean, it's not really blue in the first place, it's turquoise, which has green in it, but I didn't realize her hair varied that much until I saw that pic. Oh you mean her hairstyle in the Androids Saga? Kind of similar to 18's I guess. Maybe that is how it happened. Still, oof. When was the last time he looked at widely available pictures of his own characters? Lol. Found this on Reddit - So Bulma's hair was only blue in the first chapter! My life is a lie! This is as bad as finding out Puar is male! Here's an interesting thread on it. Thoughts are Toei just liked her blue hair first chapter appearance better? And here's another thread that just muddies the waters, lol. As for 18... Apparently him just plain old forgetting. And to make matters worse, not even writing stuff down! Yes he needs to stop. T__T Or at least people need to stop asking him this stuff. And I definitely hope most fans aren't taking what Toriyama says as gospel! P.S. Sorry the post got so long, I had to do a deep dive there lmao. Edit - CORRECTION: After seeing this post - Damn it, Toriyama! The iconic Bulma with motorcycle picture is still super-hot, though. But I remember my friend getting the action figure of that and pretty sure she had blue hair! Also for some reason Bulma likes to ride those scooters in that weird bent over position instead of actually sitting on the seats lol.
  5. I guess I am just too used to him from the White Castle movies. And while Sulu isn't exactly a geek, I wouldn't call him "cool," either. Haven't seen Selfie. But, I see. Maybe Cho and the showrunners can pull it off!
  6. The issue isn't with critics, but casual viewers who might avoid the show due to it being black and white and cause it to be a money pit. Schindler's List did well with critics and audiences. We'll see what happens with Uzumaki.
  7. https://bloody-disgusting.com/tv/3581544/trailer-toonami-adapting-junji-itos-uzumaki-four-episode-series-2020/ So, this thing is just going to be a 4 episode mini-series. So I guess it's a short manga, or maybe these episodes will be longer than 30 minutes. I don't know. I can't imagine they would be cutting things with all the stuff being said about the director being an Ito fan and making this of utmost faithful adaptation. Demarco was gushing over something he worked on being covered by Bloody Disgusting and didn't dispute anything written in the article, so I assume it's correct. They also went to a shrine so they wouldn't be "cursed by the dark content of Uzumaki." Could just be me, but Demarco looked he was being douchy when he was ringing the bell. Oh, and the Uzumaki book he was holding has a color cover!
  8. Black Clover was unfairly maligned! People were talking like it was the worst shonen ever, but... it's not? Hey, I was ready to sit there and make fun of it and rag on it as much as anyone. I love to do that with shows. It makes shows I don't like watchable. But I ended up liking it. People just didn't give it a chance and don't give it enough credit.
  9. But how can we trust your interpretation of the story if you weren't in your right, sober mind? That sounds like spoilers too. Yeah, but I don't claim them to be masterpieces or anything, and I do voice criticisms on them. At least I'm not like Demarco who said Naruto is one of the best shonens of all time and said the filler is no worse than the canon. I mean, if he said it was one of the best shonens in ratings and sales, and the filler wasn't much shitter than the canon, he'd be right, lol. Well, with that in mind, Demarco saying this is one of his favorite horror mangas is not a ringing endorsement lol. The second thing you said is a spoiler.
  10. I know it's a style choice. I'm saying it doesn't make sense because the series' world isn't meant to be black and white, so it comes off as yet another baffling decision by Demarco, potentially showing he doesn't understand the property at hand, which wouldn't be the first time, and is just making it black and white because it looked cool in the manga. And casuals might think it is outdated, or not take to it just because it looks different. Remember that old animes get bad ratings due to how they look, and Lupin gets bad ratings, probably partly because even though it has modern production values, it has that retro art style. So what are they going to think about this?
  11. I wasn't sure if the FLCL sequels were made before or after the partnership. But yeah, they've had an established relationship for a while. Also, Stand Alone Complex, right?
  12. Megumi's are more B's, I think. And they aren't all D's or double D's. I don't think Erina's are as big as Meat Meat's, and the teacher in this episode (is her name Hinako?), if the foodgasm fantasy version are an accurate representation, and her chef outfit makes her boobs look smaller for some reason, hers are even bigger than Meat Meat's!
  13. What I meant was her boobs didn't look that big compared to how she looked in her chef outfit. So either her usual outfit downplays her boobs for some reason, or her boobs were made bigger in the foodgasm fantasy for some reason.
  14. Keep writing down my episode comments in my document, but keep forgetting to post them. Well, here's for the last slew of episodes since last time I posted. Ep 312 - Ep 313 - Ep 314 - Ep 315 - Ep 316 - Ep 317 - Ep 318 - Ep 319 - Ep 320 - Ep 321 - Ep 322 - Ep 323 - Ep 324 -
  15. That makes no sense. The other series were much longer and didn't look like this. The first anime had bad animation, but nothing like this glorified gif stuff. And the second had great art and animation! This one kept the art style of the second anime but the animation is practically nonexistent! And the manga was ended in December of 2016. So, they could take their time making this.
  16. Okay, finally watched this ep earlier. Gotta say I don't get tired of seeing Frieza handled like a bitch lmao. I thought if they punched or kicked Top they would lose limbs. I guess he's only using enough energy to protect himself from attacks and not disintegrate everyone on contact? I did Super forget a rule it just created? Vegeta is right. You are full of shit, and a hypocrite, Top. You've compromised your principles! So, if regular energy is strong enough it can overpower Destruction Energy? Well, Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue, and presumably Vegeta's new form, are supposed to use God Energy, so maybe that is how. Namekians have the ability of creation. I wonder if that could counter Destruction Energy. Well, Nappa used a move to create a big blast around himself. You have to be strong enough to withstand a blast, whether from yourself or someone else. That's obvious. But presumably no matter how strong you are, if you use full power, and all of your energy, you could still blow yourself up. But now Vegeta used up all his energy. But why is Goku powered down? I just had a thought. Since 17 has infinite energy, could he use the energy transfer move to give energy to others? He could completely replenish people with no cost to himself. Maybe even power up people stronger. Or would that not work since it's inorganic energy or whatever? Jiren can still power up LOL.
  17. Okay, I re-watched episode 53, which is the one where Yami has his meeting with William Vangeance in the tree. Yami acknowledges their history, going back 10 years, and how they both became Magic Knight Captains, and fought together on the battlefield multiple times. So Yami already knew about this guy's magic. He asks if World Tree Magic is the only kind he has. So I guess people can have more than one type? Vangeance's backstory is that he was the illegitimate son of a noble, and when the heir dies, he is brought to live with the noble family. The noble's wife and everyone else hates him, and mocks him because on the birth mark, yada yada yada. Wizard King invites him to join the Magic Knights, and makes that mask for him. Even Vangeance thought it was tacky! Yami internally monologues that the scars don't show any energy, so they really are birth marks and not wounds from a fight and/or magic (I think that's what that meant,) he doesn't sense any illusion, and his ki tells him that Vangeance isn't lying. Yami decides that Vangeance having the same build and face (scars aside,) and similar voice, is a coincidence. They also had similar ki! Didn't some people theorize at the time that the "dead" heir could be Licht? So they could be brothers? I thought that Licht was an elf, but he's briefly shown when referenced in this episode and has normal ears. I could've sworn he was an elf. Then what was the reason for that flashback with those elves getting wiped out at a wedding during that arc where they fight Licht in a cave? Licht wasn't the groom there? I guess there is some connection to elves because I think that third eye magic is elven or something, and Licht, Vetto, and I think Fana, when she was angry mode, talked about hating humans. And didn't Fana have elf ears when she was with the Midnight Sun and under that spell, or am I remembering wrong? Maybe I should re-watch some other eps if I get the chance. I mean, it wouldn't make sense for elves to be among the nobles, right? There was also some hilarious stuff in this episode with Bell being jealous of Charmy and Asta. She calls Charmy a pint-sized fivehead! Charmy talking about how she's nineteen and her sexiness lmao. Charmy needs to stop being chibi all the time! At least she stops it for a while when she tries to get Yuno's attention in this ep LOL. This is also the ep where Langris tries to kill those villagers along with the enemy snot mage, but Asta, Charmy, and Finral take out the snot mage. Asta launched like a missile and holding his sword in mouth because his arms were still broken LOL. At the end of the ep they have that short scene with the Mage Knights in the Diamond Kingdom. The mysterious one talking still hasn't been fully revealed, but the captions name him as Morris and the credits say he is played by Chuck Huber. Though he sounds different to me, so maybe Chuck Huber has more range than I thought. Mars and the crazy laser beam guy are clearly visible in the group. There's other ones we haven't seen in action yet. One is a big tall fat guy that sort of resembles Gray's big dude form, for whatever that's worth. One looks kind of like Mr. 1 from One Piece, so there's another non-white character. There's another one who is completely in silhouette and impossible to make out anything. Could be a woman, or a guy with shoulder length hair, or that's a helmet lmao. Damn you sunset! Oh, and they all wear fur capes lol. So yeah, lots of relevant stuff in that ep! Oh, and Marx, the Wizard King's assistant is played by Aaron Dismuke! I had thought he was John Burgmeier (Tien, Fried)!
  18. Whoop, how could I forget Sol!
  19. How... was that homophobic? That was just Taiju being stupid.
  20. If that's still supposed to be her, her boobs are way too big lol. Since I was already there, here is the manga version for that scene - This time it looks like the manga is more extreme lol.
  21. Or a bunch of the other cast. Yes for sure! I guess she has to use the facilities like everyone else on this, not sure how it's a "camping trip," at this point. I guess she was in there by herself since she finished early. Off screen, due to writer laziness. Well, finding this took longer than it should have. It seems certain sites have been removed from google search results. Either that, or it's because I used "Food Wars" instead of the Japanese name. Eh? It was actually more tame in the manga? And she really looks like Asuna there lmao.
  22. Well, that, and since she's pressing her arm against them, that would change their shape, maybe that and the buoyancy factor lol.
  23. I just thought that was the character of that series overall. Lupin hasn't seemed much different between the old show ASA aired and the recent ones Toonami aired, to me, anyway.
  24. The Shiketsu students remind me of Kill la Kill characters.
  25. Still think it's weird that they were allowed to hurt headphones girl so seriously.
