  1. Fuck Tencent and fuck the Chinese government. Also not really sure losing a mobile game is such a big blow.
  2. Before Toonami permanently got rid of airing movies and halved the block a few years ago, Demarco had been saying things were fine and Toonami was doing great. I had someone counter me at the time with "when was the last time he said that." So, if Demarco goes silent and stops saying things are going well, we can take that to mean things aren't going well. I mean, I don't expect someone to just shit on their own product and say things are doing poorly and not doing well and everything is going to hell, but some warning and a bit more transparency would be nice. It's kind of hard to trust anything Demarco says anymore.
  3. I mean that sounds great said in a vacuum, but he just said the block was getting too unwieldy. So sounds like he's full of crap. He just wanted a lighter workload.
  4. Oh that's right. Food Wars has been on the block quite a while, hasn't it? So what you're saying, is even if Demarco prefers a shorter block, it could still get extended anyway, because programming is in control of that? And it's happened before, so it can happen again? I don't know, I guess I can see that, but I have less hopes for a rebound this time. If we're to believe what Demarco says (and I take what he says with a grain of salt,) Demarco wanted a shorter block because it was getting to be too much trouble to replace all the shows cycling in and out, and programming department went along with him. If that is the case, I don't see strong chances of further expansion unless it is for originals or "must-haves" they feel they must put on air at the given time, which would probably have to be something on the level of MHA, Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball, One-Punch Man, etc. Really though, if we are to condense down what Demarco said, it doesn't seem to me that it's about money. Too expensive and unwieldy, he said. Even though only recently he claimed that Toonami was pulling its own weight. It really sounds to me like they just don't want to do the extra work of acquiring more shows and making the bumps for them and whatnot. So... just laziness. They should have stopped or taken a break with it, already. They just went to the second season. And they had to know the block contraction was happening at that point. Unless they made a deal for both seasons and absolutely could not back out of the deal. It also makes me think of some of the stuff ASA would do. "We agreed to air the show, we didn't say when." *puts show on at 4 in the morning*
  5. I mean it can just be their personal preference. Me, I'm not the type that likes to be the kind of touchy-feely kind of person. I'm also socially awkward. I wouldn't want to hug someone unless they were maybe a family member or significant other. I don't think I'd want to hug my male friends, and they certainly wouldn't want to hug me. I don't think I've even hugged my own brother. Just because Senku and Magma don't want to hold each other, doesn't mean they don't think any two guys, friends, father and son, brothers, boyfriends, or whatever, shouldn't. Though, it might be a stretch to say all three of them have the same personal preferences as I do when it comes to physical contact. I took it more as Senku and Magma aren't exactly fond of each other, so they wouldn't want to hold each other. But all three of them had the same reaction, you're right. I dunno'. We'll have to see if this topic, or any gay characters pop up, and how things might happen in the future, to see how the author handles things later on. But yeah I can see how that could come off bad. But I took it more as them not liking each other and being juvenile.
  6. And I just put the promo video in there. I don't think I should be disqualified, since you have edited threads before, some cases even turned them into threads for other shows! Though I don't know if we care so much about the thread "rules" anymore these days. Official ASMB forums are long dead, and we're old and tired now.

  8. I saw this thing DeMarco retweeted and got my hopes up that the contraction was just temporary for 2 weeks until they had new shows ready. *sigh*
  9. DeMarco - claims to know block shrinkage was coming Also DeMarco - gets Food Wars I mean he shouldn't have gotten it in the first fucking place, but to lock up a slot with Food Wars of all things, when you know you're going to lose time slots is pure madness!
  10. DeMarco is a known bullshitter. He's spinning more than his current display name. Not too long ago I saw him comment something to the effect that Toonami is cost efficient and pulls its own weight, actually makes money! When before it had always been thought that Toonami was a passion project money sink. And remember how they always used to say they don't get paid to work on Toonami? So somehow it went from being something they can't even get paid for to afford to run, to a well-oiled efficient machine, to all of a sudden it's too expensive and unwieldy. Ok then. Whatever you say DeMarco. And now he says he isn't in control of the schedule? Then what the fuck does he do? He must have some control, or they'd still have the ASA schedule monkey nonsense going on. Even with the different and larger, arguably better, quality-wise, show selection, even with these sorts of shake ups, its always been scheduled far more logically than ASA ever was. So don't give me that shit, DeMarco. I'm not able to read Sketch's question and answer on Ask at the moment. The site appears to be afflicted with malware? I go to DeMarco's Ask and almost instantly get hit with that fake contest winner thing. Wtf? I'd have to get on the PC where I have Adblock installed to use the site, which I don't feel like doing right now. But man, that is annoying. And to the people I saw telling DeMarco on Twitter they prefer Toonami this way. Fuck you.
  11. THIS IS PATHETIC! AND BULLSHIT!
  12. Well there was that swordsmanship school Kirito and Eugeo went to but it would seem there weren't nearly that many fighters as we would have thought. I guess it was more of a select thing. And Administrator would have to recruit integrity knights from somewhere. Also remember she had that big hoard of armor and weapons in the tower. Bercouli managed to increase and train forces but apparently still massively dwarfed by the other side.
  13. Interesting that the herbicide and soap have brand names.
  14. What Emma just said. I want to see the next part with the demon-filled outside world. How the hell are they going to survive? And drag all those little kids around?
  15. They said that the Human Empire wouldn't be able to repulse the invasion because of Administrator nerfing her own army due to fear of rebellion, which is why she was going to make those sword golem things.
  16. Yeah you are weak lol. That's why they treated you like that.
  17. I thought it had been said they had been massing troops for invasion for a while.
  18. Messages in books. Hmm. Society of humans on the outside? But not connected to the demon society that farms humans?
