Old shows are no cheaper but the old shows won't run out of dubbed episodes. That is the whole point. I don't know much about the Index franchise or if it is good at all. Hopefully it is more accessible than than Fate or Monogatari which seem confusing and impenetrable. It's not a good sign to me when I see "how to watch" guides. 86 episodes with just the spin-offs or including the 74 along with the spin-offs? Either way that is a lot! It would give Demarco a lot of content for a while, basically a ready-made long-runner which are a dying breed, at this point, but Demarco still loves to have them. We can see how he has struggled to program the block without long-runners to build around anymore. That of course is assuming the series would go over well with Toonami viewers, which I have no idea. Though the movie will probably never be aired so I hope it's not something that's integral to the overall story, like the Demon Slayer movie covering a fucking manga arc. I don't know about One Punch Man but yeah Inuyasha was pretty powerful heh-heh. They are going to have to write Inuyasha out of the story, and also Sesshomaru, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango, or weaken them somehow. Given the vague information we have been given so far, it seems Towa, Setsuna, and Moraha have all been separated from their parents. I hope they aren't all just dead because that would be fucking stupid and piss me the hell off and I'm sure most other fans. It can simply be a case that they got lost/separated from their parents somehow and their parents don't know where they are. Inuyasha has good sense of smell but even the best bloodhound couldn't track someone across an entire country. On the other hand, Sesshomaru can fly and has as good or better sense of smell than Inuyasha and he never seems to have any trouble finding Inuyasha. Then there is the fact that Setsuna, and possibly Moroha too, since she seems to be training with rather than fighting with Setsuna in the trailer, are being raised and trained by Kohaku, along with Miroku and Sango's son. This concerns me because why is Sango not involved in training the new demon slayers? And would Miroku not want to teach them some of his own abilities as well? They could be "retired" I guess but it is not like they would be frail and weak being in their 30s, they should be even stronger and more experienced by then, if anything. Of course Miroku wouldn't have his Wind Tunnel, so there is that. The same would go for Kagome and Inuyasha, and especially Sesshomaru since demons age slowly. But besides that, why would Inuyasha, Kagome, and Sesshomaru not think to look for their kids where their friend's brother is training demon slayers? From the poster, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are placed distantly, Sesshomaru looking up at the sky and Inuyasha's back is turned. It implies they are not able to be involved, for whatever the reason might be. But what worries me is Kagome is not shown at all! Neither are Sango and Miroku, but they are potentially on rocking chairs watching over Kohaku's training of the slayers lmao. Oh and Kaede is still alive somehow and looks exactly the same lmao.

I remember that whole fiasco. I was lul-ing because I hated Geass, although I liked Moribito. Good thing I am good at staying up late. But I don't remember that it lead to anime being relegated to Saturdays or that the two situations were connected at all.

Demarco has claimed that getting older shows or reruns are no cheaper than getting new shows. That's why he said Toonami couldn't maintain a library like ASA did and many of the shows would have to be one and done, if people wanted to have more premieres. I think they got Casshern Sins because it was DARK to show how mature and grown up the new Toonami was. Same thing with Deadman Wonderland which was DARK and EDGY, but at least it was over-the-top, silly, and funny at times. Casshern was depressing and a whole lot of build up for not just a rushed and clumsy ending, but the BAD END. Regardless of all that, ASA was mainly just dumb with their show picks a lot of the times, which is why we got some of the shows we got. In AVGN voice - If Demarco has shit taste, ASA had diarrhea taste!

Demarco was not running or involved with ASA... Either way I am glad they aired those shows, even if I thought Blue Gender was meh and forgettable, with a few hilariously bad moments like this - And I thought Evangelion was overhyped, overrated, and horrible, and full of annoying and unlikable characters. Bebop and Trigun were great though and complemented each other well when they ran back to back!

There weren't quite that few, but yeah, we didn't get nearly as many new shows back then, haha. (And Al laid out for us just how barren things were at the time!) So yeah that was part of it too. But I am glad they ended up airing it since I ended up loving the series, and the story improves exponentially beyond the point the anime covers. I wish it had all gotten animated! But people should check that manga out regardless. At least we finally got Soul Eater eventually!

A harem series wouldn't have the couple get together until at the end. Hell a lot of non-harem series are like this. SAO is actually refreshing in the sense that it doesn't wait til the end to put Kirito and Asuna together. Besides that, Kirito didn't have romantic interest in the other girls he met after he met Asuna. Silica I did not take seriously and was like a puppy love crush, we have seen this plenty of times in real life and fiction. Kirito talks about how Silica reminds him of his sister and she is little sister-zoned. Come to think of it makes more sense that Kirito would say that since Suguha was originally meant to be flat-chested until Reki's wise editor suggested to make her busty. Lisbeth professes her love for Kirito but she gets friend-zoned. She also doesn't try to keep pursuing Kirito once she realizes the budding relationship her good friend Asuna has with him. Suguha falling for Kirito is ridiculous. But in her defense, she did not know Kirito the player was Kazuto her brother. I could be wrong on this, but according to the books, inside the games, besides SAO after Kayaba had everyone look at those mirrors that makes their avatar their real selves (and in the process revealing a lot of Guy In Real Life players and people not being as good looking as their avatars ,) players did not have the same voice as their real selves. Maybe they didn't do this in the anime because they didn't want to have 2 voice actors for each character, I'm not sure. Or it's one of those things where they sound different in-universe, but not to viewers, sort of like how in Gladiator the characters speak English instead of Greek, it is "translated" for the viewers. Either way, in both the anime and books, Kirito does not exactly resemble his ALO avatar, and Suguha looks much different from Leafa. The Arc(s) which shall not be named! I did not see Sinon as being romantically interested in Kirito so I don't know why people say that. Obviously Kirito was not romantically interested in her. They were friends who bonded over their past of PTSD. Aside from Kirito's actual relationship to the other girls, he does not live in a house with all of them or travel together with them. The other girls have their own lives and do their own thing and aren't always spending it with Kirito. There is exactly one arc where Kirito has an adventure with all the girls, and it lasts for 3 whole episodes. Plus Klein is along. Anyway, their relationships are all long-since well-defined as platonic by that point. Finally, besides Kirito settling down early, he seems to actually have an interest in being with women romantically and has a sex drive. Many harem protagonists seem asexual or gay, either having little or no interest in any of the girls surrounding them, or being so clueless and moronic to either not notice a girl's attraction to them, or fuck up their chances with them if they do pick up on it. Though in Tenchi's case I maybe can't blame him given how annoying the women are. The things I described that SAO doesn't have are what makes it not a harem, and also are why I abhor harem series. They are are a ridiculous premise and setup, usually very contrived, full of obnoxious tropes, and annoying characters and situations. I could have sworn there were some other OVAs that aired. Was there a Kill la Kill one they aired? Maybe I am thinking of ASA. Wasn't part of Kikaider an OVA? Huh, just looked it up. I didn't realize it aired all the way back in 03! And I thought ASA aired the OVA, and a good thing they did, since it very much completes the story. Oh hey they actually did what I and others suggested and got a show that's already dubbed from the past few years. From what I have seen, heard, and read, though, Assassination Classroom seems... disturbing. Also the yellow tentacle guy looks creepy as fuck. Though, DangerMouse assured me that it's good, especially if one can buy into its tonal shifts due to the large amount of comedy. I didn't really look into it deeply, so maybe I have the wrong idea about it. I'll watch it and see how it turns out.

So wait the Joker killed himself? To me it seemed like his neck was broken and he should be dead. And he looked dead. Then he started trolling again and then his neck snapped again on its own. What the hell happened there? Did Batman imagine or hallucinate those last words, or finish what the Joker would have said in his head after he was already dead, and that's why the Joker's head returned to the snapped position? I think what Demarco means when he says a show doesn't fit is that they don't have somewhere to put it in the lineup. He has said that tons of times for tons of shows. That was one of the excuses he gave for never airing Fairy Tail, when it was pretty obvious he never had any intentions of airing it. I gave up any hope of that happening when he said he had never seen it. We also know the excuse is bullshit in general, given they will just add a time slot if they really want to put a new show on and Demarco himself confirmed new shows being added aren't dependent on other shows ending. From what I recall, the SAO disclaimer was on Hulu, that's where I watched it subbed. Apparently it was on Crunchyroll too. I don't remember one for Toonami. I can think of no real differences between the seasons except for these - The awkward, jarring fan service seems to have been eliminated. No more framing shots around girls asses etc. And when that Integrity Knight girl Sheyta had her armor and clothes damaged/removed, and the pugilist guy said she looks like a warrior now (how the pugilists look,) it was tastefully done. A good improvement. Buuut it seems he tries to make the rape scenes as graphic and over-the-top and gratuitous as possible! I don't like censorship either but Toonami had to do something to get the episode to air. But I would also prefer that Reki didn't use rape as a cheap way to get cheap heel heat for his villains. I mean it's not like Reki has any grand ideas when he includes these scenes, like he is going to examine and portray the trauma rape victims go through. It's done as a cheap way to make people hate villains, motivation for the hero, and a plot point to move the story forward. In this case to justify Kirito and Eugeo killing one of those guys and maiming the other, so they get thrown in the jail of that tower. When you could easily have them do the same thing in defense of the girls and/or themselves without rape being involved. There are any number of ways a violent fight could have been instigated with those two assholes without using rape, that get Kirito and Eugeo into the jail.

No, I am talking about the parts of the manga the anime covered. They cut out a lot of weird fan service apparently. But given that, and given what you just said about the last arc, oof, and possibly even less credence that we can just blame this all on the editor of Fire Force. Like I said, unless Okubo had this same pervy editor back then on Soul Eater.
