You're over-simplifying things and not giving the show enough credit. Think about this. Charmy fell in love with Yuno because he saved her food from falling. Does this really seem like a show that should be taken 100% seriously? Even then, at the times it does get serious, it can be pretty good. Lots of touching and powerful moments. You complain about over the top character gimmicks being spammed, but you love One Piece? Sanji could have had character development, but it was decided his character gimmick that has been run into the ground for 100s of episodes was more important, so he gets his ass kicked because he wouldn't fight a woman. It was stupid.

From watching the videos by that YouTuber, apparently the reason the game dub ended up like this was because Yu Suzuki INSISTED on the dub be done in Japan, and picked the voice actors himself, but based more on how much they looked like the characters. Talk about a madman creator! I can see why SEGA wanted nothing to do with Shenmue III! Oh, that sounds cool. I really need to play the Yakuza games.

Man, you just don't get it. It's unfortunate you are unable to see and appreciate that Black Clover is a brilliant parody of the shonen genre! Well, I didn't care that Hunter x Hunter was a "brilliant subversion of the shonen genre," because it was a boring, directionless show where nothing happened, with unlikable characters! =3

Most of the characters themselves are parodies. The clip I just posted of Noelle should prove that. She takes the cake for tsunderes. I've never seen one so over the top. She has arguments with herself in her own head. Yami takes it even further and will make fun of other characters and just about everything in the whole show. I'll repost that here too. The way Yami is at times almost takes it to a whole other, almost fourth wall level. How often do characters that are supposed to be "cool" get made fun of? Sometimes they would be the "straight man," but usually the humor comes at the expense of others and not themselves, or their interactions with others. Yami made fun of Nozel's hair. I can't think of a case where anybody made fun of Byakuya's hair. Then there was the episode where he straight up asked William Vangeance if he uses Light Magic. This guy was suspected of being Licht, the main villain, in disguise. I can't think of another case of this happening in any show. And this was all in the midst of Yami making fun of the other captains, made fun of Nozel's hair that time too, and made fun of the Orca guy's laugh. The whole scene was hilarious!

Dork-sta in the dub. It's probably Baka-sta in the sub. Haha, I was right! If you listen to her she actually says "Baka-sta" in Japanese! I don't like using "stupid-sta" for the subtitles though. I much prefer Funimation's "Dork-sta!" as an approximation!

I had already made this joke before. The SAO Progressive and Alternative predate FLCL's lol. Demarco still needs to show Alternative, though! But this one is fully a spin-off. It takes place in the Gun Gale Online world and focuses on totally different characters. And Reki didn't write it.

I had just woken up when I saw it and thought maybe I read it wrong, that they were making manga of the Progressive novels. No, it really is a new anime. I did not expect Aniplex to start making the Progressive anime this fast. I thought they would wait until the next arc, Unital Ring, was done and could be adapted, before making Progressive? These are the light novels Reki has been writing that re-tell the original Aincrad arc and fills in a bunch of the the stuff we didn't see thanks to those time skips. It is supposed to be a better version. In Reki's defense, he had to keep the original story probably shorter than he would've liked, to meet the word limit for the writing contest he wrote it for, and even then went over the limit and wasn't able to enter it into the contest. And Reki did not expect SAO to take off like it did. But I don't think Reki is done with this series, so are they just going to animate what has been done so far? Looks like there are 6 light novels so far. Not sure how many episodes they can get from that. And will it just show new stuff or will we see stuff from the first season mixed in? This whole time I thought Aniplex would wait until Unital Ring was done, adapt that, then adapt Progressive. It would make more sense to cover the remake of the first arc after the entire series is finished (if Unital Ring is the finale.) But, this gives them something to adapt until Unital Ring is finished in the books. Here I thought there would be an SAO anime drought for a while. Silly Benny.

Yeah I would be surprised if the whole show consists of assassination attempts on the teacher for 47 episodes. I feel there has to be some sort of change in direction at some point. But who knows. Koro-Sensei is quite an enigma himself. He is going above and beyond his teaching job, said that no students will die on his watch, and has given advice and motivational speeches to the students. But he is still determined to blow up the planet after a year, and threatened the students' families. So I'm not sure what his deal is.

But they know who these three are, and Eugeo? I guess Kirito, Asuna, Alice, and Eugeo are important parts of this civilization's history, haha. I am annoyed by the 200 year thing though. I wanted to know what was going to happen to the characters after the war was over and peace deal made. Bercouli and Fanatio's child. And I'm sure Sheyta and the pugilist guy had a ton of kids lmao. I hope there was a method to the madness here. 200 year time skip and Underworld's civilization has already rapidly surpassed the real world's. Whatever it is is being saved for the next arc. So after all that, we thought Administrator, then Alice, but it's Kayaba that gets to inhabit the robot? What about all those people you trapped and killed for your little game, Kayaba? Rinko, Kayaba is not a good person... So all of Alice is just in that cube. Don't let the Japanese or U.S. military get it! This thing was nuclear powered the whole time? The 2011 earthquake and tsunami, followed by the Fukushima power plant disaster, obviously did not happen in this world's history, since Japan moved away from nuclear power after that.
