I remember when it was revealed that Saiyan's hair doesn't grow, when Vegeta cut his hair in GT I was like WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, VEGETA?! Or maybe it could still regrow to its original length but just won't grow any longer? That was a really weird Toriyama-ism. I think he just couldn't think of what Goku and Vegeta's hair would look like if it got out of control after being in the Time Chamber for a year.

I thought Tanjuro and Nezuko were likable and charming, and their relationship was adorable. Nezuko slept way too much and didn't do enough. I feel Nezuko at least was overhyped, but only because she isn't nearly as present as she should be. Hey, don't downplay InuYasha. I see Zenitsu being hit or miss for people. He seems to always be upset and freaking out about things, and has a ton of complexes and phobias, cowardly, scared of spiders, hates medicine, girl crazy, hates hard work, was only able to master one technique, sleep fights, etc. I did like how those girls at Kocho's place told Zenitsu to treat women with kindness and respect and the way he answered solemnly "yes" makes me think he will change how he acts around women now haha. Inosuke is funny because he is basically just this clueless guy who just cares about fighting and challenging people. It feels like maybe the author thought the story was too serious and depressing, so these two were introduced. How much comedy was there really before that? I mostly enjoyed them but true they could be annoying at times and I think the original tone of the show was fine. The pacing was quick but not rushed and well done in the beginning. We have a time skip past Tanjuro's 2 years of training and I was fine with it, since we saw all the fundamentals and important stuff. After a while it then got bafflingly slow, I agree. And yes ending on cool down, recovery and training was odd. They should have probably waited to cover the next arc when it was done, or end right after the spider battle? I don't know, the anime didn't pick a good stopping point. But, My Hero Academia has done this at least twice with its seasons, I think? I can't remember if it did it with the first one, though. Eh, the crow is no more random than the encounters the Yasha Gang would have. They would wander into a village having a problem, or someone asks them for help, or get randomly attacked. Plus, the show also gives off vibes of Kekkaishi and I like the crows for that. And the crow is hilarious! Waiting til the last moment to introduce the Hashira and then barely see any of them do anything is odd. I think, yeah, this anime should have waited until there were more arcs to cover. To be fair, Tanjuro did not interact with many women before that, and Tamayo is a bit old for him. It did feel strange to wait to so long to show him off as a charmer, though, I agree, heh. Yeah the demons are confusing. I originally thought that getting attacked by a demon and surviving would turn you into a demon, but apparently Muzan is the one and only original demon and only he can turn people into demons? So does that mean he personally attacked Tanjuro's family and turned his sister? That seems like a bit much. But wait, that's not right, Tamayo was turning people into demons! And what the hell was Muzan doing to the demons after he killed them last episode?! It's so confusing. Would re-watching the show help?! That said I still greatly enjoyed the show and feel the story, writing, and characters were mostly done well, and look forward to more!

Yeah the block was already on the decline before this. So it doesn't feel like much of a downgrade from before. Very gradual in fact. I also wonder how much things would be different if covid hadn't happened. I don't see Mob rerunning under previous circumstances. Lots of shows ended and just cut the slot already so we can't blame covid on that. If they were still going to play Paranoia Agent regardless, I find that questionable. I personally enjoy Black Clover greatly and it's one of the shows I look forward to the most every week. Of course it does have a lot of detractors and those who probably don't even watch, like you said. But Naruto, the quality of the show has deteriorated so much over the years, with tons of filler not helping, I really hardly count that as anything. The episodes are old too and many that cared enough about the franchise will have already seen them. Certainly I could have done the same but I have no desire, plus I already know some of the laughably bad stuff ahead, including the ending. So once upon a time this show was basically rerun lite, a show that transitioned into the reruns. Now it just looks that much worse as the pool of premieres and time slots in general has continued to shrink.

No one is having a good time from this and it's understandable people are upset. I'm not having a great time myself. Especially since since my Aunt died in late September and it's like a one-two punch with no chance to recover. But I can't afford to be too negative or I feel even worse. Now is a great time to try doing something you've always thought about doing, a new skill, craft, or hobby. Or heck, if you're like a lot of people and have a backlog of shows, games, movies, books, now is the time to enjoy some of those. There are thousands of old shows and games etc you could dive into right now while you're stuck at home and everything current is on hiatus.

Complaining about it is not going to change anything. Most people are aware that the virus and shut down is causing issues. There aren't many things that aren't affected by it. I was bummed out about the announcement of Mob rerun replacing Demon Slayer, but we have to try to not let it get to us too much. There's not really anything we can do but continue to support the block and hope Demarco and co. can put their years of experience to good use and come up with some ways to get the block through this. Admittedly some of their past decisions have not inspired confidence, but hopefully they will put their best foot forward here. Well it won't because we still have some shows to last a while. And there is no way they will just fill up the whole damn block with reruns. It would probably depend on what the show was and when the last time it aired. Generally though I am not as willing to watch reruns as I was in the old days of original Toonami and ASA. Maybe because anime was newer to me then. I also try to spend my time better nowadays. Time feels more precious the older you get. Still, one rerun in the middle of the block is easier to watch than avoid. Since the shows on either end you would want to watch and not much you can really do with just 30 minutes, so may as well just watch it. If they do yet another rerun though that will lame as fuck. If it gets to where there are back to back reruns in the front or back yeah I could see people just skipping that.

I'm thinking of a fan service show. Like I said, not the same thing as a show with fan service. So yeah something like that, or an ecchi show. Demarco will never get anything like that. The most extreme thing he got was Kill la Kill. Uhhh I don't see Darling in the Franx being reasonable fan service. I recently saw a clip of the show on a YouTube channel I watch. Just wow... yeah. But what I was referring to is Demarco says he doesn't like fan service personally, but it's obviously not enough to stop him from airing shows given some of the stuff he has shown.
