Maybe it is like past cases and Demarco and co. only watched a few episodes and assumed that Moroha was the lead. Like when they goofed up on Tenchi GXP and somehow thought the show was good just from watching the first three episodes.

I have been trying to determine if Sota's wife is the girl he went on a date with in that one episode of the original series where he dressed up looking just like Detective Conan, but I don't know the episode number or title. Let's try googling "Sota's date."
