  1. I don't if even a gymnast could jump through the forest like a Naruto character.
  2. Gotta say I really don't like what the plan is. Seems like a lame/bad turn in the story. And the Tsukasa army might turn against the Kingdom of Science and slaughter them all once they learn of the deception. Or they don't believe it in the first place, if Tsukasa has some info he can enlighten them with.
  3. Ok but that mask is like a whole other quirk on top of what he already has. Seems overpowered to me.
  4. Ok the mask isn't a power... it's a gadget. And not considered cheating or villainous I guess.
  5. The promo for last week's episode made me afraid All For One escaped. Glad that wasn't the case.
  6. Indeed. And Mineta is so annoying and has no redeeming qualities. Not really sure what his purpose is.
  7. The guy thinking of doing perverted things with this power is likely to become a villain.
  8. I'm so glad we know all these Class B students so well. This battle has been building for a while. Oh wait.
  9. No one else had dreams like this but Deku? I would have thought everyone went through this. Odd.
  10. Well, since somebody posted something they shouldn't have posted, we now no longer can post explicit nudity in NSFW art! Somebody always has to ruin it for everybody!
  11. I have seen some people really complaining about this, and ripping on Kevin Smith. I will say I do not like how Teela looks like Rhea Ripley now. But, I am not super invested as my mom never let me have the toys as a kid, so if it turns out terrible I won't be too upset. Although I did enjoy the reboot from the early 2000s.
  12. Ah, you know the saying, somebody always has to ruin it for everybody! As it is, I had clicked that spoiler tag for like a millisecond before clicking it off, so I wasn't sure which version of Deku it was. If it was shota Deku... that was in poor taste.
  13. It was obviously a joke and I don't know if "most fans" took it seriously. I at least would hope not. I haven't heard about any creators taking offense, if they even knew about it. Adult Swim would tease and joke around with the fans all the time like that. Not just with the anime stuff, but in general. And they used to do those Q&A bumps. I never would have learned Tessaiga was a falchion if not for those bumps! Honestly it was pretty cool they interacted with the fans at all, since most networks didn't. I think some people just take things too seriously and have no sense of humor. Although, if any actual creators did get offended, that may be cause to reign it in. Especially since that could compromise future business deals and licenses and such, and the sarcasm/joking may not be obvious across the language barrier. I honestly don't remember that part of it at all. Of course Demarco is still butthurt over that. He's still mad over stuff that happened during the original Toonami, like long-dead competitors buying the rights to shows and sitting on them so Toonami couldn't have them. Of course Demarco didn't mention the voice actor by name, so that makes him look pretty bad too.
  14. So that's what's going on? It's all so confusing. AT&T shouldn't have been able to own entertainment companies in the first place anyway, since they already provide TV and internet access. It's a conflict of interest. We need to use the Namekian Dragon Balls to bring back Teddy Roosevelt to put a stop to this nonsense! Sounds like you're talking about that edgelord show Akame ga Kill. It's amazing because I have not thought about that show in forever. None of this corporate BS makes any sense. These companies are able to do all these BS deals that shouldn't even be legal, then somehow able to operate with metric fucktons of debt. And hell, with Jeff Bezos making $2000 a second on top of everything else, it makes you wonder if the concept of money even means anything anymore.
  15. Netflix definitely promotes anime. I get anime promoted to me on Hulu, but I don't know if that's because I already watched some anime on it before or not. Although, a lot of the stuff that has been promoted is not stuff I would watch, so whether the recommendations are because of what I already watched or just "HEY WATCH THIS ANIME," it seems like pretty generic recommendations. But it's there. I seem to recall some years ago, some anime series were among the top watched shows on Hulu. I don't know if that's still the case now or if Hulu still reveals the top watched shows. But, it seems pretty silly to go off on a whole diatribe off of something you don't even know is true or not. All I could find was this Reddit thread when I did a google search for "Does Hulu promote anime?" For some reason most of the results are about the various business deals and mergers and other corporate shenanigans. This is from 2016, so no idea if it's still accurate. Pretty funny though that guy wanted a setting so that he wouldn't have anime promoted to him! But, this tells me, (again if it still works this way,) they will promote anime to you, whether you have watched any or not, but probably more if you do watch anime. But man, some people really don't want to watch anything that isn't American or in English! Although, about streaming in general, you are right. I sound like an old man here, but it's not like channel surfing, looking at the channel guide, or the TV guide channel in the old days, or the Preview Channel or whatever it was called before TV Guide took it over, or even going to a video store. In those cases you would stumble on something you never would have watched otherwise. With streaming, in most cases, you already know what you want to watch, and then you go look for it and go watch it and that's it.
  16. Well that truly is baffling. The writer of the article even said it is almost unheard of for this to happen to other Weekly Shonen Jump series. They had a perfect opportunity to adapt it properly so why screw it up? It makes no sense to change things up and skip so much. It's like doing the anime-original ending when you don't have to. Although, that is disappointing to hear that the manga story quality apparently declines anyway.
