Monster is excellent. Where Viz fucked up was rating the DVDs like they were fucking hentai and of course there was no guarantee the rest would come out, which is exactly what happened.

Used to be most of Toonami was great but lately it's been showing a ton of crap, like Unicorn and Tokyo Ghoul. Hiatus and Shittuden continue to drag the block down like the albatrosses they are and One Piece is no longer there as the stalwart bright light and the end of the night. Super showed promise with Beerus Saga being decent and some great slice of life filler eps but art and animation has been lacking and the Frieza Saga adaptation has been horrendous. Stick to the movies and watch the filler eps would have been the thing to do but hopefully it will improve with the new sagas coming up. So basically the only good shows on right now are Kai, JoJo, and Lupin. I've got a chronic backlog in tons of places and didn't want to start anything new but I couldn't take it anymore and broke down and watched Seven Deadly Sins and it was godly. Going to make a point to watch some more off-Toonami shows soon since it seems they can no longer be relied upon to bring the quality in the quantity they once did.

At first they told us that since we are so close to the tower the signal is going over us like an umbrella. Later on we find out AT&T doesn't own the tower right near us and are too cheap to connect to it so we sit in a dead spot with 1-2 bars between 2 AT&T towers. For a time I actually I switched to Verizon and the phone worked great but the guy at the store lied to us about a bunch of shit and the bill was inflated and fucked in short order and had to flee back to garbage AT&T. Lily should be rage-fucked to atone for their sins. Movie Gallery ended up buying Hollywood Video, and through their own corporate incompetence and through no fault of GameCrazy, which was doing great sales, Movie Gallery closed all Hollywoods and with them the attached GameCrazys. I lost my favorite game store. Had tons of great games for cheap from all generations and workers who knew their shit. Hell I made friends there. Now I shop at Game X Change which is great too and still refuse to set foot in Gamestop but I still miss GameCrazy. Now Funimation, which has built its company and brand with care and steadiness over the years (I liked them before it was cool, by the way, in the early days, when others were hating on them nearly as much as 4kids), is owned by a JAPANESE COMPANY likely run by out of touch old geezers. Those that stick to old time Japanese traditions which have no place in modern society, which lead to such morbid idiocy as the NES Classic debacle, a complete ignorant misreading and apathy towards its customers, Konami closing its videogame division and Kojima heading for the hills because HUR DUR WE GOT TEH PACHINKO MACHINES WAD WE NEED DOSE VIDYAGAMES FOR, MegaMan ending as a franchise due to Capcom treating its creator like a slave, among myriad other examples. This does not bode well. Let's just say I am not at all enthused to hear of this news this morning.

In the previous show that aired on ASA it was played off as more of a joke than anything. Lupin would do something pervy or try to flirt with Fujiko and she would blow him off. For example, See - The OP. There may have been some genuine affection between the two, but I'm pretty sure they weren't an actual couple! And the way Fujiko was acting here it was hard to tell if she was being serious as well.

I dunno'. I feel like you've all been drinking the Alchemist Kool-Aid. It could be Adult Swim itself and not Toonami responsible for Super's placement, yes. I'm also more likely to blame Adult Swim proper than Toei for the 8 PM airing. Just sounds like something they'd do. Let Toonami do all the work of building up the block and being able to get Super and then reap the rewards for themselves and fuck over the block. And like you said, Dragon Ball is a major property, and Super is NEW Dragon Ball, so of course they, whomever is responsible, are going to lead the block off with it. And like you said, it couldn't have been cheap. Only problem is, currently, it's not finite, unlike Kai. So if A. is correct, we may have a serious problem on our hands. But, I don't personally think it is.

Aside from Pilot Candidate that's one of the only shows in Toonami and ASA history I actually missed. Never did get around to watching it since it aired, so if it's that this is, it would work out for me perfectly!

This guy is an evil orphan killing Priest with Hannibal Lector overtones. This show really doesn't know subtlety, does it? The whole concept of these ghoul jails is nonsensical. I thought the whole goal of the Doves was to keep the ghouls in check so they don't eat anybody. Mostly we've seen them just kill ghouls on sight. To keep them in prison you have to feed them... PEOPLE. Oh, and they could escape, like just happened. When so many ghouls are S-rated, it loses its impact. Oh. Been a while since we've had a Tom speech. Why are so many characters crazy? Why isn't everyone equipped with that gas? How is this guy not finished off yet? He got her, really? Eh? Mado Jr already taken down?
