I don't know about that description. But, I never knew people liked Teen Titans THAT much. It was good, but it was still watered down from usual DC animated shows, more lighthearted and comedic, things censored like calling Deathstroke by just Slade, and anime-ized. I remember people bitching about these things like crazy back then. So yeah it wasn't a "real" DC cartoon, but I still enjoyed it. Teen Titans Go seems like it just cranked up all that stuff about Teen Titans that people complained about and gave it a chibi art style.
