I was watching Breaking Bad, maybe that’s why. With the exception of Gus, the other characters were supposed to be Mexican. They could just speak slower.

Do they speak slowly enough. This is a huge problem. The language is spoken so quickly it’s hard to hear the words, you know what I mean? On American shows with Spanish speaking characters I rely less on the subs cuz I think the director has them speak slower. Even if only slightly.

Me gusta Duolingo I agree that it’s slow learning a language with it though. Part of the fault is mine. I should’ve been reading Spanish language newspapers and watching television in Spanish too 😑
