The TV-MAS at the start of the promo is plenty indication that there will be fanservice, for anyone with common sense.

I actually recorded all three nights of Chiller Ani-Wednesdays way back when; I watched them on my CRT TV in the living room, so the only quality problem I had was the stretchy aspect ratio for Tokyo Majin. Point was, I had avoided Is This a Zombie? like the plague up until then, and after that, I managed to finish both seasons and actually like it. So thanks, Chiller. Thiller.

Did anyone else notice that there was zero music until the last five minutes of the episode? THE PROMISED NEVERLAND - God this show was great, I'm glad the kids made it out at the end. SWORD ART ONLINE: ALICIZATION - Good news, Chudelkin's dead. Bad news, the fights this episode were lacking in hype. And then everyone was Haji. LUPIN THE 3RD: PART 5 - I could've sworn the Rat Clan Chief was Richard Epcar doing his Super-Oldseph voice, why'd they credit him to another guy? Ah well, at least seeing the assassins getting taken down by either the gang or each other was fun. BLACK CLOVER - Show of hands: who else noticed the Osomatsu-san cameos in the background there? While it's nice to see Rill get some background and development, the idea of his love of art bringing grief and regret upon his mother is downright satirical of the whole concept of tragic backstories. Also, between the major art love and the more annoying voice than Asta (taking volume out of the equation), I think he might be autistic. BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS - That's our Kakashi, so hard yet so soft. NARUTO SHIPPUDEN - Ah hey, we got fat and thin Anko this week. Sakura should've ended up with Lee instead of Sasuke. HUNTER x HUNTER - Rewatched this because why not. The real Diego's little poetry recital was the best part IMO, but Meruem and Komugi's final moments were nice too. Also, they should've aired the Food Wars promo more often than they did, Gundam Origin's time to shine was last week.

The best part about Endless Eight was the fact that despite six of the episodes being exact repeats of one another, they were all animated from scratch and directed by different people, making it seem way less lazy than one would initially think based on the hyperbolic reactions people have to them. I still wish Bang Zoom went full gag dub with iterations 3 through 7. I'd have loved to see what their takes on it with various gimmicks would be. My favorite suggestion from... someplace was that they treat it like an episode of Bleach, with the characters playing their roles. Koizumi as Ichigo, Nagato as Rukia, Mikuru as Orihime, and Haruhi as either Tatsuki or Yoruichi. And Kyon, being voiced by a union VA who was never in Bleach, would be left wondering what the hell they're all talking about.

I always found Toshiyuki Tsuru to be an extremely underrated director. It's a shame he's only been chief director for one and a half shows, a Naruto movie, and a Shippuden filler arc that almost was a movie because his work is amazing, and it's partly thanks to it that I was able to shape Kinky Kunoichi into the hypothetically-an-anime-actually-a-story it is today. I've also grown to appreciate Hideaki Anno's understandably pretentious but nevertheless breathtaking style after finally finishing Evangelion (ADV).

Will MHA see a schedule promotion at the last minute before July 6th and avoid its deathslot like JoJo, or will it stay there until the distributor tells Turner to quit that shit - which could be months from now - like with Geass and Moribito? Place your bets, people. And put away those crying emoji reactions while you're at it, nobody wants to see those.

For all you know, this could be another Akame/Parasyte situation where one of those four shows you just listed was the one Demarco was after and Food Wars was just part of a package deal.

Still a Sentai property, Al. Still a Sentai property. I hope so, all these popular picks have made Toonami super predictable over the past couple of years. Yeah, fanservice can do that. But on the bright side, it's a Weekly Shonen Jump anime adaptation so it's not like it's guaranteed to be dangerously ecchi 100% of the time, it's directed by the GaoGaiGar and Brigadoon guy so you know it'll be some degree of fun, and when all else fails, there's always the gorgeously drawn cuisine to look at.
