  1. Gundam 0083... it could have been way better. Still a decent show imo. I was really into the UC storyline, and wanted to watch all of the Gundams in order from MSG through, but CN/AS made that impossible at the time. Always loved the opening for 0083 though with Kou running in space as the years since the One Year War go by. So 80s haha. Not as bad as how they've handled One Piece though between the 4Kids dub when 4Kids never even wanted OP for the long haul and then Toonami bringing it back on AS like two hundred episodes in haha. It's really just on there for casual viewing. Nobody's actually supposed to religiously follow OP on Toonami. Toonami's return with Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins was pretty bad. The fans were clamoring for its return and they put up two duds as their first acquisitions. It was like they didn't really prepare for the return and were just throwing on anything they could afford at the last minute. And I recall Deadman's first or second episode being really awesome... how the heck did its creators botch such a cool concept of imprisonment survival so badly?
  2. Glad I got one earlier in the week even though I risked hypothermia to get it. I'm currently working through Castlevania (did play it in my middle school years on an NES passed down from one of my aunts along with most of these games) and Final Fantasy. I'm a big time Final Fantasy fan, but I have never played the original NES version. Comparatively, Origins and Dawn of Souls were much harder. Other than the annoyance of getting enough gold to buy things and not knowing what spells do what and who can equip which weapons and armor, this game is pretty easy. If I were around in the 80s, I think I would have found it difficult because I wouldn't have any RPG experience lol. Anyway, solid 9/10 for this system so far. I'm not even playing my PS4 these days because I'm busy with the NES: CE haha.
  3. The Legend of Zelda???
  4. It's crisp and beautifully animated. It could almost pass for an anime that came out in Japan last year. I don't see much appeal otherwise, but my attention span isn't great when it comes to processing intricate, technology/military babble.
  5. Hah I remember those like they were yesterday. Doesn't feel that long ago even though it was. With what Scope said, in the early days of ASA, if you missed an episode that Saturday, you were screwed and had to wait three months for a rerun assuming the show didn't get pulled. If you miss an episode of JoJo on Toonami, you can watch the dub within the hour online. Also, it was the first time many of us got to see cursing and blood pimped out on Cartoon Network. The hellish atmosphere around it and the dark content of some of its shows made Toonami look like child's play. The good thing about Toonami right now is that even though it lacks variety and would be best served airing every weeknight so that more people would follow its runs of HxH, OP, and Naruto, the state of the rest of CN is so lowly that any kid or teen who watches CN and then sees Toonami will think it's the hottest sh-- ever just by virtue of how much better, different, and edgier it is.
  6. (Steps to you) We're not gonna have a problem here are we... 8)
  7. Death Note is a brilliant anime. It's the threshold of creativity and substance.
  8. Not at all. I don't think Toonami's current line-up compares to any version of ASA. If anything, it's pretty similar to Toonami back in 2000 when it was showing Gundam Wing, the Cell Saga of DBZ, the three Tenchi series, Sailor Moon, etc crossed with the Toonami that showed Naruto, Zatch Bell, Bobobo, 4KidsPiece.
  9. Friday the 13th: The Game Red Dead Redemption 2 Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy (Yeah baby, the first three PlayStation games remastered in HD) Dragon Quest XI Gran Turismo Sport God of War Spider-Man
  10. Russians like cold stuff because it's very cold in Russia.
  11. It's an issue of balance. Seems that the darker series such as Parasyte and Hellsing Ultimate always get phased out in favor of lighthearted shonen (Naruto, One Piece) and comical anime (Kill la Kill, One-Punch Man). I was looking at an English-language trailer of Gundam Unicorn RE: 0096, and I expected it to be dark and mature-themed like the older UC gundams, but it appears to borrow elements from newer Gundams with upbeat k-pop playing during battles and characters yelling out cheesy lines. I can't judge it without having seen it, but it seems like there's a lot of influence from the worlds of the lesser Gundams in there. Well it definitely beats the babyish Toonami from '03 to '08 or the slop it threw on when it was revived, but we'd like to see some really hardcore stuff.
  12. I'd honestly much prefer DBZ Kai Saiyan Saga reruns or the return of Attack on Titan over Ghost in the Shell.
  13. I can see why people liked that, but really FMA and GitS aren't my cup of tea. Just trife eye candy imo. The best ASA line-up to me was back in late '02 with Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Cowboy Bebop, Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam 0080, and Outlaw Star. That was pure coke while it lasted. I can't think of any stellar Toonami line-up. It's always at least had one or two shows on that weren't all that interesting.
  14. True facts
  15. Poke, don't get up in my face like that, bro. (steps to Poke)
  16. Death Note would be a massive hit if it were put on Toonami. The younger viewers who didn't catch it when it was on Adult Swim and haven't seen it online would think that it's 1000x better than One-Punch Man.
  17. I don't think Toonami will ever get cancelled again either. It managed to do well even when it aired things like Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins when it first returned, which, to me, are low quality anime. The reason Toonami got cancelled from Cartoon Network had to be because of the poor quality of shows (4Kids One Piece, Blue Dragon, Bakugan, etc) getting bad ratings. There was no reason Toonami couldn't have been returned to weekday afternoons. People said it was because of Toonami not appealing to a broad enough demographic, namely ladies and toddlers, but if that was the case why did Naruto, Toonami's premier show back then, get put on Miguzi at 5:30 for a couple of months?
  18. So garbage haha. Does the father kick the bucket by episode 5? I really don't remember.
  19. Yeah lol,, but which specific episodes though? 1-8?
  20. Which episodes is Toonami's JoJo marathon going to cover?
  21. Why is JoJo on the Titanic with that random blonde girl? Wasn't he romantically involved with that other girl?
  22. Are these new episodes or reruns? Because the last episode I remember Jojo beating the s--- out of that blonde guy who poisoned daddy, but I can't tell if this is a new episode.
  23. Ah well tbh I really wasn't into GT when it aired on Toonami back in '03 or so, but I'll watch Super for sure. I dunno for me GT just took carried on too much from the Buu Saga of DBZ, which I disliked, and I wish it had a little more substance.
