NaBernie2018: I didn't realize it was possible to renew a driver's license online. I'll try to do that this fall before my birthday.

Failing isn't too bad once you get used to it. I failed three times before I got my license. That was a long time ago. I got my license the year I graduated high school in 1999. I didn't even have a email account yet back then. Depending on where you live, it's better to get your license in the winter. I didn't have to do a Y turn since there was so much snow that winter. I've been driving a long time and have never had to do it.
