Rotini pasta with sautéed onions, garlic and sweet peppers. -
Trump says he wants to eliminate the federal income tax and fund government through tariffs. Good luck with that one. The IRS is a century old bureaucracy that has been getting fatter and more deeply entrenched every day for all this time. It's almost unanimously supported by both Republicans and Democrats at every level. So, no matter the intent, Trump doesn't have the necessary support in Congress to pull that move successfully.

Well, if you get enough people pissed off, they'll walk on hot coals and fight dragons to vote. No obstacle too great.

2024 Presidential Elections: the schadenfreude commences

That's what makes secured mail ballots workable. If I want to avoid spending a whole afternoon in line at a regular poling place, there's the option to seal my paper ballot and bring it to the nearest post office. -
2024 Presidential Elections: the schadenfreude commences

Ballots were damaged after some drop boxes were intentionally set on fire. In an election as tight as this one is, those ballots could make or break either candidate. This is why I oppose drop boxes. Either vote in person or vote by secured mail. That would keep all ballots under safeguard.
