  16. i've learned that it's important to be happy with what you're doing, or what you will do, but stay hungry. that's how i went from retail to uhhhhh whatever it is i do now. or don't i guess, i'm not ur mom
  17. well if they offer it on the spot, and it's better than what you have now, then why not? or, be honest and say that you don't think you'd be a good fit for that specific role, but you think that you'd still make a good fit for the company should something else come up. if they don't offer it to you on the spot, which most places won't, shortly after or shortly before the second interview say that you found other employment but ask if you can keep in touch. get their business cards. and yeah, any employee in an at-will position should always keep on top of their interviewing skills. always be one step ahead of your employer, you never know when they'll up and decide to close your division.

  21. that was this job. are you sure you'd be so lucky if they decided they didn't need you anymore tomorrow? why not spend the time to do it now? you'll look more confident in interviews because you already have a job. the interviewer has to offer you something, otherwise they're just wasting your time and theirs. always work from the high ground while you have it, don't start looking after your position to bargain has been eroded.
  22. wouldn't it suck more to get let go and have no alternative rather than apply for something and keep the networking contact in your back pocket just in case?
  23. idk, any job that told me "OH YEAH YOU HAVE THIS JOB RIGHT NOW BUT YOU NEVER KNOOOOOOOOOOW" i'd still keep applying but i trust no one but myself
  24. well then i'd keep applying for jobs just in case
