  11. if they were cosigned then you'd fuck over your cosigner. i wouldn't do that unless you really want to fuck them up too
  12. actually i have a better idea. why don't you just not pay it, ONLY IF IT'S PRIVATE DON'T DO THIS IF IT'S FEDERAL OR IF YOU HAVE A COSIGNER. student loans are unsecured, they can't do anything except annoy the fuck out of you for a few years and ding your credit. the fine and car registration you need to pay though, don't try to not pay that
  13. talk to a bankruptcy lawyer and see what they say. or go on reddit and ask /r/personalfinance. they can probably tell you what to do
  14. that would be another possible problem, they MIGHT look at previous tax returns to see income. if you're under minimum filing guidelines and over 18? shit, you got me on that one. paging Sawdamizer[/member]
  15. this can probably explain it better, assuming your loans are private. if they're federal i'm not sure what they do http://blog.credit.com/2015/04/can-you-discharge-private-student-loans-in-bankruptcy-113463/
  16. student loans you're fucked. you can't bankrupt your way out of that. everything else is fair game
  17. well if you have any bonds or stocks that you don't declare and try to cash out on or pay taxes on, they're going to find out
  18. that's illegal, you have to declare things that you own. but you're a dependent under your parents, i don't think the items "technically" belong to you
  19. he's still a dependent under his parents (assuming since he doesn't have a job). he doesn't technically "own" anything, they can't take shit
