Yeah, I watched the first ep, which was great just because I couldn't resist and might watch the second, but then I'm going to wait since I'd rather watch with the dub and since Toonami's already announced the date so it's not like I don't know when it's coming

Oh sweet, so you got to see the theater premiere? Very cool. Yeah, I just saw the first ep, I really liked it a lot. The different kind of tension was palpable and I was hooked. Really can't wait to see it with the dub cast. Yeah, Toonami really should play the whole OP at least the first ep, it helps set the tone. Same, I hope it gets a top slot really early in the block. Another thing hopefully in its favor toward it getting a top slot I think, in addition to it being the hot property that is AoT, is that it's going to be 24 eps this year, similar to the 25 in season 1, so it'll be able to have a sizable run of premieres. And it's only been a year since season 2 unlike the long wait between season 1 and 2, so I think season 2's events are still fresh with Toonami viewers.

Red Swan by Yoshiki feat. HYDE Goddamn that animation is GORGEOUS. Just like S2, this season is probably gonna look incredible on the animation front. Having not read the manga at all, all I know is that this arc is apparently supposed to be more subdued than the rest so I guess the music choice kind of makes a lot of sense. I could see us also (hopefully) getting a new Linked Horizon hype-style one for the second OP of the season if that gets us to the next arc, which supposedly gets very big and bombastic again, since we're going two cours (24 eps) again this time so there should be two OPs like season 1. Fun fact: It's also at least got HYDE singing who we've heard on Adult Swim several times now in one of the original FMA's OPs and one of the Blood+ OPs, and also Moribito's similarly pretty subdued OP. Less than a month to go till August 18th and the premiere on Toonami! Edit: New link to the Opening added.

Yeah, would have been a lot of fun. Oh, my previous one was of Zero Two from Darling in the Franxx. I liked the image for it (even though the show was quite mixed) so I'll probably use it again later.
