They're everywhere now in my area. They're buying properties like hot cakes, the least I'd like to be able to do is communicate with them enough to say hello, ask what they're growing, etc.

I'm new here but I'll partake.

Chinese are moving into my area at an alarming rate, setting up little farming operations, and even now I shop at their awesome grocery store, but I'd like to communicate with them aside from hello. Most of them don't speak a lick of english and I don't want to move so if I already know conversational Japanese why not Mandarin.
