They simply retconned Goku knowing about him. Were you not paying attention during that scene? Goku said that King Yemma mentioned it. Face it, this episode confirmed that Uub exists in Super. But yeah, he must be only a year or two old or something.

Goku just said earlier that Evil Buu was reincarnated as a kid. Who else would he be talking about?

Please don't make Uub a thing in the series.

Usually it's money. They can make an episode for a bare minimum of cost by using recycled animation and make a decent profit off of it.
