Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex HD Rerun Discussion
Meilag32 replied to Blatch's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Yeah, I've heard that before and I'm calling bullshit. I now own several anime series on both Blu-ray and DVD that were from that time period. And in all but one of them, you can tell a clear difference in video quality. And on the one that you can't tell a difference in, you can tell they didn't care about the release because there were other problems beside video quality, basic stuff they should have gotten right and they didn't. If you want to talk semantics of how it was achieved... I don't see the point. Does it really matter how they got that video quality so good? -
Episode 7: "How Dare You Hurt My Bulma! Vegeta's Sudden, Angry Shift!" No flaming, trolling, spamming, hating, etc.

So who regulates the Discussion threads? And what would it take to get them more power to stop jackass-ness?

It's not impossible. I have the Criterion Collection blu-ray version of Gojira and it looks clear as crystal. -

The only movie that is connected to SAC is GiTS: Solid State Society. The others are in their own continuity. -

I feel sorry for the guy. He only wanted to kill his parents for the horribleness they inflicted on him. Isn't that what we all suffer from? -

The FMA 1st series looks jarringly good on blu-ray. I was supremely impressed after buying it. -

Coming up...a stand alone episode. -
Technically, it's not fair if you compare to DBZ. Funimation has gone on record that DB/DBZ/DBZK/DBZS (probably for S) does so well that it actually pays for other shows that Funimation licenses that wouldn't pay for themselves. So if anybody has a beloved anime that Funimation picked up but wasn't universally adored, you all can thank Dragon Ball for subsidizing the cash for it.

I'll disagree. But to each their own. I won't harp on you for it. I'm perfectly sure you've got your reasons. Hell, I like Code Geass and I get major grief from some board members concerning that. -

There's the PSN. It's on there if you have PS3. Or if you're computer is good enough to handle 16-18 yr old graphics, I could direct you to legally grey areas that have it. (They worked on my computer and I bought mine about 6 years ago.) -

And I saw it randomly at a KB Toy Works. This was before I had non-school access to the Internet so I didn't even know it existed. I scooped it up immediately. Got the game and the ultra-rare Megaman Legends 2 demo disc. My copy was worth a lot more money before it got put up on PSN. Not that I'm mad. I would rather more people get to play that awesome game. I would never sell it anyway. I'll be buried with my treasured possessions like the Egyptian Pharaohs of old. Oh well, I have other rare games going for triple digits online. -
