    It's 60 minutes long, right? Needs a 90-minute with commercials, right? My guess is 1-2:30 AM October 19th after R&M The Anime and Uzumaki also conclude. [as] may have just set up 10/19/24 to be a don't-miss epic night of finales on Toonami!!

    Now the real question is how does Swordsmith Village Arc's premiere's 49-minute runtime work out? Will it be... - Nicely into an hour with 11 minutes of "limited commercial interruptions"? - A "wonky" 65-70 minutes that bumps One Piece to 1:05-1:10 and knocks everything else off-kilter by a few minutes for the rest of the night? - A proper 75-minute block with 4 internal commercial breaks totalling 22 minutes and a 4-minute show gap break? My guess is the latter. And then everything else will be 15 minutes later before the newest R&M short closes out the block at 3:15.

    Completely insane to say Shippuden's replacement could be MHA, but that might actually be the case. I'd take that over a Crunchyroll freeze-out. But the September-October schedule would be THIS... 12 AM - R&M The Anime 12:30 - Demon Slayer/Uzumaki 1 AM - MHA/Demon Slayer 1:30 - One Piece/MHA 2 AM - DBZ Kai/One Piece 2:30 - ???/DBZ Kai 3 AM - Uhhh, Zom 100? Hopefully that's the case, but I guess we'll see!

    This is probably the first time the Olympics opening ceremony has ever eclipsed Toonami on [as], but at least it was just the first episode of Sailor Moon! But DAMN, that thing went until 11:30 PM Paris Time!!

    That's actually not right. Toonami gets the SUBTITLED WORLD PREMIERE, while the dub airs the next Thursday (beginning 10/3). Holy moly, since Halloween falls on a Thursday this year, my unlikely prediction of a Halloween Night Uzumaki marathon MIGHT actually happen!!!

    I think it's likely to be somewhere between the two. Certainly didn't see Mugen Train rerunning August 3rd. I guess we'll see if they do the quadruple Naruto trick August 10th and go back to double One Piece August 17th and/or 24th. If Swordsmith premieres right after R&M Anime on August 17th, it would air until 1:30 or 1:45, which potentially knocks out One Piece for a 4th week in a row. That would mean it could be doubled-up again the 24th and 31st until 1:30 AM gets a new tenant on September 7th. The thing I've learned with Toonami is it will disappoint us if we get our hopes up, but surprise us if we brace for a letdown. As always, I guess we'll see!

    Toonami officially shrinks back to a 3.5-hour block on August 10th with this news. This means if we ARE getting Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc at midnight, which clocks in at 49 minutes for Episode 1, it could probably only run with limited commerical interruption before 1 AM One Piece/Shippuden, 2 AM Kai/Kamui, and a fresh rerun at 3-3:30.

    Awake for the west coast airing now. Hopefully they continue this from Episode 9 whenever the regular lineup returns, August 10th or 17th.
