It’s an equal parts fun and frustrating read if you’ve ever watched Macross.  I’m still scouring the internet for the 2007 draft Lawrence Kasdan wrote.

I just finished reading the whole script.

I think if ever there was evidence of someone missing the entire goddamn point of Macross, besides Harmony Gold, it is this script.  It is terrible in every sense of the word and would have probably become shorthand for bad films in the same way Batman and Robin is.

That sounds like a lost holy grail the likes of Gore Verbinski's Bioshock.

Yeah, way back in the mid-2000s, when Tobey Maguire wanted to produce the film.
