I just found out that a band from the 50s, Joey Dee & the Starlighters, who had a hit with "Peppermint Twist", had a guitarist by the name of Joe Pesci. He left to pursue an acting career and was replaced in the band by....Jimi Hendrix. Neither was involved in "Peppermint Twist". Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
