Joker: Folie a Deux, aka Joker 2 is official

Considering the success of the recent Batman film, I wouldn't be surprised if they do decide to use this next one to establish it being in the same world as these Joker movies. It's already been established in the comics that there's multiple Joker's, and a running theory for a lot of people is Joaquin Phoenix's Joker is the inspiration for the one Batman deals with, so they could make that the case with this film.

Realistically though, the Joker film doesn't need a sequel, with it feeling like a complete story with nothing else that needs told. The movie made a billion dollars so I'm worried they're just gonna try milking this for all it's worth.
