Sieg67
straw man:an intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat than an opponent's real argument. Sieg67
There is no widespread effort to ban any of those things. A couple of restrictions yes, but ban, no. Even states that permit abortions still have limits and conditions. Late term typically is never done unless there's a medical emergency. A lot of the beef Republicans have regarding abortion stem from ignorance. The topic itself wasn't even an issue until the party decided to make it a wedge in the 70s. Hell, even the bible gives instructions on how to preform one so they can't even claim it's a position of their faith. We don't want you Googling anything yourself. You know, because it takes so much effort. Wouldn't want you to strain yourself. FFShttps://www.patheos.com/blogs/slacktivist/2018/02/03/bible-commands-abortion-part-1/https://skepticsannotatedbible.com/says_about/abortion.html It's Old Testament. A Baptist minister would argue that too many parts of the Old Testament were not inspired by the Holy Spirit, but rather by politicians and kings of that era. That's part of why the Old Testament is so short, compared to its predecessor, the Torah.
Sieg67
The New Testament doesn't have anything on the subject so that still can't be used to justify their position. Also, all Bibles are made up. They're changed and edited to reflect the changing times.
