Yes, they trace back the ancestry of "famous" people and I thought, "Sure, a bunch of privileged jerks get their ancestry done for free, whoopie!". But it's been pretty powerful. We just watched this episode (the link is just the teaser), and I'll admit I was tearing up. https://www.pbs.org/video/homecomings-preview-mqw3if/ Sterling K. He paces it so that what might seem like bad news has a relatively happy ending in context. It serves to give a sobering picture of the times without burdening the individual with it.
