When I worked in a convenience store I had a regular customer who had that dilemma. He had Parkinson's, which made him stutter severely when he tried to speak. He tried to remedy this by typing out what he needed to say on his smartphone, but his tremors made his thumbs often hit the same 2 keys over and over in short bursts.

God, what an absolute hell that must be.
