I agree wholeheartedly with Metroid, I didn't like original Metroid at all while Super Metroid is an absolute masterpiece. But Zelda 1 is my all time favorite Zelda (and game in general, really), and I really love Zelda 2 as well. But for other pluses to the SNES, Mega Man X and X2 are better than any NES Mega Man games (as great as 2 and 3 were; never played X3), Final Fantasy II / IV and Final Fantasy III / VI are LIGHTYEARS beyond Final Fantasy I, and Super Mario World is better than any NES Mario game.

I was never a Metroid fan really. Zelda was awesome. Zelda 2 I had some fun with. I agree that Super Mario World is better than the Mario games that the NES had to offer. However, I still have more fond memories of my NES than I do my SNES. I guess the reason is, although I played the hell out of my SNES, as soon as I got a Genesis, it was goodbye to the SNES. I liked the SNES, but I loved the Genesis. I guess another reason why I love the NES more than the SNES is because Contra was on NES, and that is one of my all time favorite games ever.

I was fucking TERRIBLE at Contra. WITH the 30 lives code I could only get to like level 3. :| I never owned it though, only played it at friends' houses.

I made all the way to the end of that and could never beat the final boss:|

How about Double Dragon 1 and 2? I don't think I ever beat the first one, but I did beat the second one. Had a lot of fun with those games.

Oh, and Bad Dudes. Haha. That was a cheesy game, yet not too bad.

I also just remembered a game that occupied a lot of my time back in the 80's, and that was T and C Surf Designs.

I beat that game so many times. First, with the Konami code, then without it. I had tons of fun with that game. Possibly my favorite NES game.

Konami put out some classics. Castlevania, Rush N' Attack, Bayou Billy, Gradius, Salamander, Jackal, The Goonies 2, Top Gun, TMNT, etc. Had tons of fun with the TMNT series on the NES and the SNES.

It was one the NES games I've ever played along with Blades of Steel

I can't even remember all the games I had. I know it was close to 500 games. That's all I spent money on back in the 80's.

And I remember some games back then, were the same price as new games now. Some games were $60 back then too.
