wtf is wrong with korn, cuz?

I fucking HATED nu-metal when it came to prominence. :D I was all about Black Sabbath, Metallica, a little Pantera and Iron Maiden, and classic rock.

My friend let me borrow his Korn CD. I put on the first track, I think it was called Twist. Played for maybe less than 20 seconds, I decided it was the worst thing I had ever heard, and never listened to them voluntarily again.

Korn were the poster boys of the nu-metal movement, and nu-metal was "supposedly" the metal of the future. That was a future I didn't want to see.

I'm not much of a fan of black or death either. Just about any extreme metal band I like, they have one (or more) of the following qualifiers: epic, symphonic, folk, medieval, gothic, doom.

My main genres are doom metal, heavy metal, power metal, epic heavy metal, folk metal, and (made up genre incoming) 70s metal.
