PurgatoryGirl Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Several years ago, I stumbled upon actors, that narrated Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven. In the past, Vincent Price also did the narration for The Raven. However, I chose Christopher Walken's narration instead. Â Yes, I'm a Poe fan who somewhat lives up to the Goth stereotypes. So, sue me. Â
Ginguy Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I love this one, James Earl Jones has such a great voice. Â
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 In 2 more minutes, PBS is airing a special about Poe. This the only time I will watch PBS for anything. LOL!
Ginguy Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 PBS isn't bad for some things. I imagine this special will be good, their biographical programs usually are.
PurgatoryGirl Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 A little while ago, I finished watching the documentary about Poe. Even though Poe was a man whore, he had a lot of tragedies to endure and overcome. Â I'm reeling over the facts, that his works were published during the 1800's but were never copyrighted and that he cheated on his dying teenage wife, who had tuberculosis, with a poet.
