1938 Packard Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 When casino gaming was first introduced in New Jersey, Atlantic City had an ordinance against "barkers" - people who were paid to stand outside the casinos and yell out about what's inside the casinos. Well, I guess that ordinance doesn't say anything about recordings of barkers. Go along the Boardwalk and hear giant jukebox speakers barking out about the "fabulous restaurants", etc. The Boardwalk used to be a quiet place, believe it or not. Now, it's an ocean of noise pollution, between the casino barker recordings, the beach bars and those horrible, city sponsored TV screens that are set up every hundred feet, blasting out cheesy advertisements. To Hell with this. I'm spending my next summer on the Ocean City Boardwalk.
André Toulon Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 We get it....You live in a shitty place.
