nameraka Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 we had a bit of a storm last night. i didn't really think too much of it, but the whole damn tree came down taking out a section of our fence (cheap wire fencing) and a section of the neighbor's wooden privacy fence. a brief review of internet sources suggests that the neighbor's homeowner's insurance should cover any damage to their property because it was an act of God. i'm just wondering what the protocol is for discussing it. (i don't really know them very well) i was thinking i would just put a note on their door letting them know i was calling my insurance company and suggesting that they do the same. you know, give them my number and all if they want to discuss anything. does that sound sufficient or should i go over there. (i really don't want to... )
bnmjy Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 You need to pretend nothing happened, so a grudge slowly forms and they start acting passive aggreasively towards you. This will make your life in suburbia more eventful, which is clearly the most desirable of situations.
