André Toulon
Or will never be eaten. Considering I have the mini-mes, not a whole lot of stuff gets left over unlike when I was living alone and I would stockpile walls of to go boxes in my fridge. First, does hot sauce go bad. It's been in there for like 3 years and I don't eat the stuff (my mom bought it) so I'm wondering should I toss it. I also have a jar of cactus.....Yeah, you can eat cactus, who knew. My son is an adventerous eater but i know he'll never ask for it again. There is some produce in my left crisper that I bought for a stew that i never made, and I'm literally afraid to open that drawer. Oh, and my mom's sugar free syrup.....Which I don't think has gone bad, but it's just a mood killer when I reach for the real shit. Just wondering if anyone stockpiles shit like I used to when all I did was drinky and eat cold leftovers to survive.
GunStarHero
Unless the expiration date says to the contrary, then that hot sauce is gonna expire pretty soon. May as well chuck it if you aren't gonna use it. Awhile back I had a tendency to make too much food when I cooked and saved the leftovers in the fridge. Then I'd eventually toss them, weeks later. Right now I clear out the fridge every two weeks, and the freezer every month. The only things I have in there that are older than a month are sauces (brought back a lot of BBQ sauces from Alabama when I went to visit this past April), sweet potato cooking wine, and my almond milk. For the freezer it's just some fudgesicles for my guests.
