But what standards did it need to meet? I don't follow the ratings, because in general I don't care about ratings so long as they're good enough that the thing I'm watching doesn't get canceled. Even then, it's not like my desire for a show to stay on the air matters if not enough mystical Nielsen viewers watch it. I also don't care for the discourse around ratings, and the constant chicken little-ing and trying to turn it into some sort of sport competition. But from what I thought I did hear, MHA was doing pretty good? True, moving it all the way to the back would be less disruptive than moving it elsewhere and having to shuffle things around, but it still makes them look like asses when even after death-slotting it continues to beat nearly everything else. They should have just left it alone if they didn't want to move it somewhere else, because that was not warranted. It's either the incompetence of their negotiations that they don't have anything ironed out well ahead of time, as they should, to where they can announce sooner, or Demarco's love of "surprises," forgetting how that fucks with promotion, advertising, and audience planning and expectations. As you said, you started watching shows elsewhere because they didn't get announced for Toonami. But, Funimation, Sentai, Viz... the common denominator here is Toonami. I doubt the anime companies would all be making the deals that way on their end, especially when the others have no reason to do so. So it's like I said. Toonami is too incompetent to get the deals done fast enough to announce sooner. And Demarco has mentioned shows being negotiated down to the last minute they need something to air before. He also mentioned the deals on 2 shows he said were coming fell through. Which was layered incompetence. That he couldn't keep the deals together, and promised something before he actually could. And that whole thing of him loving surprises probably also comes into play. And I could be remembering wrong, but I thought that whenever ASA show announcements were made, they were usually well ahead of time, not at the last minute. So I would not blame Funimation or any of the other companies for this.

He also plays Nozel, so that's quite a bit of range to play Black Clover's Byakuya. Actually, Taiju and Mirio don't sound alike at all, either. So this guy has a lot of range in general! Were you referring to My Hero Academia? I was hoping and somewhat confident it might show up, as I and others had theorized that maybe there was a method to the madness of those MHA reruns. But I wasn't going to get my hopes up, and I know how many times DeMarco has dropped the ball before. So, I suppose you could call those doubts, but we thought there was a pretty good shot for MHA to show up the way it did. We thought Gen:Lock Season 2 had no chance in Hell of getting made, much less showing up on Toonami! Also, this gaijin dog filth is not anime.

Well, well... pigs flew when Hell froze over on a Blue Moon on February 29th. I was pretty much certain Season 2 would never be made. How are they going to make the show without the original creator? Hopefully all the scripts were already done, and/or there was an outline and possibly the series bible to go off of. It turns out I was wise to avoid Game of Thrones all this time, if the show declined as badly as fans have said. It's basically the Borgias and Medici that happens to take place in a fantasy setting, a political drama. Can't say I was interested ever since it first came out. The only episode I've ever actually seen was the last one, because they put it on when we were visiting one time. You know how it goes when you have bunch of family in one place, and trying to find something to watch. In everyone else's apathy, that Game of Thrones episode was thrown in favor of the people who were following it. I will say one thing, if I was a fan of that Daenerys character, I would not be happy. I was so ignorant to this show, I actually thought Emilia Clarke was black or bi-racial, because she looked like it in some of those dark-ass promotional shots Lucasfilm released for Solo! So, maybe we/they may end up with HBO Max, after all, I don't know. I guess I never tried to watch anything on HBO in recent years, because I never asked for the password for the HBO thing whatever it is, because I had no interest. If it's even viewable on multiple devices. I dunno how it works. And I hate that fucking Apple TV remote. If I ever have to get a smart TV or add-on to a TV for stuff like that, it won't be Apple. I never have liked their products. I use my computer and game consoles to watch streaming stuff. If it's via PC, I have an HDMI hooked up from my PC so I can just use my TV as the monitor, for watching stuff. And I just remembered that Suddenlink has Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, PLEX (whatever the fuck that is,) and Yahoo (don't know who the fuck is using that) on our TiVo DVRs. Though I have no idea why the hell they would do that, though. Put their competition right on their own DVR. The Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube apps on the DVR are not that great, though. Have no idea how outdated the DVR might be, though. Don't want to switch them and lose our recordings.
