The crime was no longer in progress when they called the cops. They were getting coffee. They were alerted about a thief robbing the van and one of the band members ran out to see what was up and that’s when he was met with a gun. The crime was over by the time police got involved That’s how it goes. My place was burglarized and the perp was inside when I called the cops. The assailant fled before the cops got there. You know what they did? Asked me “what do you want us to do about it?” So no this isn’t some sort of travesty of justice. Cops are fuckin lazy and too busy to do their jobs once the crime is over.
