    This is actually my least favorite season of SAO. It's slow paced with mountains of exposition. The pacing is just bad.

    I'm not sure they ever went into it in detail. Search allows the user to monitor and observe up to 100 people at a time. This includes knowing their locations and weak points.[1]

    His 4th form is his original form. Frieza is one of the villains in the series who possesses an entire range of transformations, each one being quite different than the others. It is implied by Vegeta and Frieza himself in the series that Frieza's fourth, most powerful form is actually his original form, with the other three being forms that suppress and conserve his enormous power. Frieza later confirms this while fighting the main protagonist, Goku. His forms seem to revolve around both western and Japanese concepts of demons.

    Also, this subterfuge was stupid. Frost is a weakling and Frieza is 100x stronger than him. What was the point of the elaborate setup?

    Actually that's his base form. He mastered transforming to weaken his power since he couldn't control it.
