  1. In other words, seeing 200k viewers on Toonami this week would be more surprising. Got it.
  2. That's the spirit that Sailor Moon fans should have.
  3. Well, color me impressed. Not only was the return of Bleach a noteworthy event for 2025, but it actually does decent numbers on cable. I'm actually pretty darn happy about that.
  4. This is an early warning. Rumor has it that Sailor Moon, as well as Naruto, might be leaving the block on May 31st, one year after Toonami Rewind's launch. If that is true, I would start preparing my goodbyes early if I were in your shoes. But that's only if this is the case.
  5. Just a small heads up. If the sources are correct, it appears Naruto will be off the block in June. This would be a good time to start preparing your goodbyes.
  6. I was kinda sure May 31st would be the last day of Naruto and Sailor Moon. If anything, I'm just glad they didn't skip the same arc they did last time the kitsune ninja aired this recently. Although I will definitely miss seeing the latter on television. As for what can fill their slots? I think I'll go with the safe prediction that one of them is going to be subbed Lazarus. The other slot is a mystery, unless they're blowing their entire One Piece load this early. Which I hope isn't the case.
  7. It's one thing when Family Guy jabs at Robot Chicken or other shows in its demographic, but seeing The Simpsons do the same thing? Now that's just mean. Still, it's only a 10-second joke. Compared to other potshots at contemporaries, this is small.
  8. So, when could we see the June schedule reveal? Odds are it's announced next week.
  9. Well, guess I don't have to make that thread myself. With that said, this is clearly where most of the acquisition budget went. And I don't even blame them for that.
  10. If you guys want, I can make a thread for it. It was in my 2025 Predictions thread that it was tossed into FWIW.
  11. Well, I can think of stranger ways to kick off a discussion thread.
  12. While I would be happy to see this anime on Toonami, the main thing holding Twisted Wonderland back is its reliance on existing Disney characters. As such, if this show were to see a cable debut, it would be to prop up a Jetix revival instead. But I do understand your point of view, and support your cause either way.
  13. Well, I can say I never expected something from Disney Jail to pop up here. But if any of those shows were to make the jump, it was going to be Bleach. That said, aside from Undead Unluck, which is one of Shonen Jump's few modern hits, what else from the Hulu originals could air on cable now that the floodgates have been opened? As for the Crunchyroll hopium, I'd like to say there's still a little left in the tank. Because if they're striking deals with Steamboat Willie himself, then Sony might come to an agreement for the existing material. Furthermore, Two Piece has prevailed for another week, possibly for the rest of the month. Now, I have no idea how long this gravy train will last, but I'm keeping things positive this time. However, given the chain of events laid out, I'm starting to make room for the possibility of a two-hour block again. I hope they don't do that, but I should keep that expectation tempered. Still, that shouldn't disclose the fact that getting TYBW is by no means nothing to sneeze at.
  14. So it's gonna be a while before post-April news breaks. Fun...
  15. I know we should expect more, but with greater competition nowadays, at least it's something.
  16. This just makes American Dad's return to Fox more surprising, considering this was an option for them. But that would've continued the pipeline further. In all seriousness, I haven't seen practically anything of this revival, so making it come out so soon pretty much says they don't have hope for it.
  17. Yeah, I can buy that a movie based on an anime with a rabbit girl, a guy with green hair, and a tall hairy figure worshipped to oblivion can premiere on that day.
  18. Guess we know what the November headliner would be.
  19. The upside? This is certainly an unexpected thing to air on present-day Toonami. It vaguely reminds me of Interstella: 5555 in theory. The downside? It airs at 3 in the morning, below even Naruto reruns, and it looks like the lone bright spot of Toonami Rewind's remains might be leaving early. Overall, not something I would've presented without an update for next month.
  20. At this rate, I'll take an update. This tracks. I would've given them another month, if I wasn't given a full year for those shows. But since we see seven slots taken by the block, cutting the last two of them sounds a bit unlikely. A new show at the end of a month? Absurd, yet interesting.
  21. Still worth noting, compared to previous years.
  22. I didn't think any of those would happen, but if one of them did? It would be the one where they up the Straw Hat budget.
  23. On the one hand, this is head-turning news to a degree only seen under the Court of the Owls. On the other hand, these seasons will have 15 episodes as opposed to 22. Still, 60-episode pickups for four shows all at once? That's a lot of trust in Fox's adult animation offerings. Then again, this does explain the issue I gathered with how many shows they have on standby Sunday nights.
