  1. If the post-Toonami time is getting two shows, that means one of the following scenarios: Primal and UWE are in rotation together at 3:30, starting with the former. Futurama's only time on Adult Swim is shrinking to 90 minutes, or even 60 minutes. We are losing the 3:00 time slot in November. I hope it's Option #3, but I'm just hedging my bets to be sure. I was kinda expecting Primal reruns to gum up the rerun hour at the end of the night, but airing them in the post-Toonami hours was a nice change of pace. Both pretty good options. However, if they still do a Halloween marathon, don't be surprised to see them stall for a couple of weeks next month, waiting for a November premiere at 12:30. A very reasonable answer, for better or worse.
  2. Okay, guys. We're officially two weeks from seeing the new lineup. Namely what's replacing DanDaDan and Lazarus, and perhaps this year's Halloween marathon. What do you think they're filling the openings with?
  3. I take it this was a package deal at some point? Like, Genndy makes his raunchy dog movie, but Sony has to fund his next passion project? If so, I hope Primal Season 3 does well. Because it ain't looking Fixed to me, pun intended.
  4. You know, we were all joking when we said they would do something like this. I didn't think they'd do it THIS soon, though! Oh, I weep for whoever is unlucky enough to get the role of Nezuko. May her therapist have prior experience dealing with Hollywood abuse.
  5. A thousand dollars says they cast Tom Holland as Tanjiro.
  6. I hate how right you are in this case. I really do.
  7. Seventy million dollars. For the latest Demon Slayer movie. I am not dunking on that film. That is a legitimate surprise, even regarding the past decade of anime in the US.
  8. In this day and age, we needed this show. And we especially needed it to be successful.
  9. I can sympathize with your viewpoints, and even agree with a good amount of them. But with the negative feedback for Fixed, I don't have much hope for Safari Heist.
  10. In regards to Adult Swim, what do you guys think the rest of the year holds for Toonami? Granted, it's very safe to say the schedule's booked until October, but here's my take on the last couple of months. October 18th: Dragon Ball Daima airs its last three episodes in a row, while Naruto ends its contract at the end of the block. While this is due to Dan Da Dan and Lazarus both ending their seasons the previous week, this does result in a hiatus for Bleach. October 25th and November 1st: The first cour of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be our Halloween-adjacent marathon subject, taking up two weeks. November 8th (Prediction): My Adventures with Superman airs its third season, fresh off the success of the James Gunn movie, while Mashle airs its second season on Toonami. November 8th (Hope): Toonami loses a half hour at 3 AM, now airing for an even three-hour block. This is due to Naruto running out of episodes after #39 when the Rewind block stopped airing the show on Fridays on top of Lazarus ending their subbed run. November 29th: Either a Thanksgiving marathon postpones the lineup again, or Mashle airs back-to-back after Blue Exorcist bows out. December 20th thru January 3rd: For three weeks, Dragon Ball Daima takes over Toonami's whole block. Those on the Internet who despise the show will sleep undisturbed into the holiday season. January 2026: Superman continues their third season, Mashle finishes its second season, and Primal finally premieres its new season. One Piece may move to 1:30 AM. If it does, there may be a chance Toonami shrinks to a two-hour block next year.
  11. Honestly, if this truly is Toonami's last original anime, then at least they're going out with a parody of an action show. Just like how Williams Street first began, in a sense.
  12. I didn't, and I brought it up.
  13. Okay. Thanks for telling me that.
  14. Do you think we'll see the August 30th update come tomorrow? Or will they double down on one of the existing shows for a while?
  15. While a November premiere for Rooster Fighter would be impressive, let's not forget that they planned for a Spring 2026 release for this show.
  16. I mean, if Robert Pattinson can be in a Ghibli dub, why not add Channing Tatum to the Demon Slayer cast? Who's next? Christopher Walken in an English dub of Vagabond?
  17. Isn't this our first time seeing Kaido in the anime? Says a lot when his first mainstream awareness came out at a much different time than Toonami is allowed to show.
  18. Agreed on both charges, but if Futurama is only going to air Saturdays from 4 to 6 AM on the entire Adult Swim lineup, you might as well give them a fifth slot for the week.
  19. Yeah, I suspected as such.
  20. Well, this is a welcome surprise. First, Blue Exorcist gets its third season on Toonami, adding to the welcome wagon with open arms. Next, Naruto Classic may be off the Toonami brand, acting more as a lead-out alongside Superman. Whether this will be replaced or not, we shall see. Finally, if Naruto is off the block, this means Toonami loses a slot, which allows for the budget to be allocated into finding better shows on the top. This is huge news for those who stuck around the early months of 2025. However, there are two things I should say: One, there seems to be a vacant spot somewhere in September, even if BES3 airs back-to-back a few times this Fall. Two, and most crucially, part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop and reveal something less tolerable. Just don't cry about the future if I happen to be correct, and I will shed a tear of joy if I'm wrong.
  21. Despite the inaccurate title card, I actually concur that Cartoon Network does not have much time left.
  22. I'd say the same thing about the HD remaster of IGPX. Like, if it's just a placeholder for DBZ Kai reruns, why even remaster the show? But I can understand where you're coming from about Mashle.
  23. Let's be real. They probably would treat it as an announcement, and the fans would eat it up.
