i agree in my limited experience with music teachers, ive always fucked off cause they didn't seem at all interested in their thing, which is probably too much to ask anyway, and im probably to blame too cause i didn't give them a fair chance, but i feel that with something like music, and anything really, it's ultimately more beneficial for the one student out of ten that does care and is 100% invested in their playing to have a teacher that's closer to someone like fletcher's passion for playing. this+ me already being super antisocial led me to just learn guitar by myself, and it's been a slow process, but i think it works out better than having a teacher.
