i always thoght, when watching this episode in particular, is that this is what happens when ninjas are brought into a modern setting. i like stylized ninjas in the city as much as anyone else, but ninjas like this intrigue me just as much.

this is such a brilliant and classic series. and it looks absolutely gorgeous in HD i love this episode so much

as much as i hate where the story is right now, i'm personally not prepared for toonami to cancel it outright. though i'd definitely appreciate it if they switched its slot with One Piece's. despite OP being pretty much the show i love the most, it's the one i end up dozing off during most often due to the time. ugh. naruto filler.

y'all need to chill on calm episodes. they're the heart of shonen anime. not everything has to be a fight all the time. without moments like these, the fights become meaningless and dull, regardless of how action-packed they are

calm episodes are always nic after a lot of intensity. my roblem with fillers was never the fact that "our heroes go on a picnic" but rather that they would introduce plot points or situations which could never fit into the narrative.
