It's been a LONG time since we've been able to see Captain Levi go all-out, due to his injury during the battle with the Female Titan, back when he saved Mikasa, so get ready for some epic moves!!!

Speaking of spectacular entrances, one of my fav sequences from season 2 was the moment when Mikasa saves Christa/Historia. That time when she's about to be killed by that surprise Titan hidden by the massive debris of the castle. I rather like it maybe since it's not a new subplot to my mind, it's actually just going back to an old one and looks to be doing a deep dive that I think we've been waiting for. It was indeed very convenient timing so it would be nice if they somehow imply that something about the situation maybe specifically brought him back to mind or something at that particular moment, in order to hand wave him bringing him up moments before he shows up for "more thrilling cinematic timing". Not sure if the manga did it exactly the same timing wise or not since I haven't read it.

Holy shit, that person on reddit who posted about it was right, he was actually reading a magazine about the sea and ships back in that ep LOL. I didn't remember that at all. And I think he did make several comments about it being kind of cool the several times he fought underwater. I guess those were supposed to be the clues, haha.
