Batou not happy. All the cheering from the Tachikomas (especially the beginning of the next episode) reminds me of..something. Maybe Animal Farm? I dunno. I'm remembering something where a group is inadvertently cheering for their demise.

And here's the turn. A Tachikoma, a sentient machine, is spying on humans. It's why I'd agree with scrapping them. I would love a Tachikoma because I know the series, but in real life, I'd probably scrap them due to fear of them turning against me. And the spying backs up the point.

I want me a sentient Tachikoma. <3

Could any of us blame Batau for personifying one of the Tachikomas? I'm sure I would do the same as him. Siri, Alexa, Cortana, etc. are all still pre-programmed voices, but the time when companies sell AIs that learn and adapt to user stimuli isn't far off, and I bet more than a few will grow attached to them.

To be fair, nonsense depends on personal perspective. And really, "spamming"? One or two posts once in while isn't spamming. And you have the option to ignore them or change your settings to ignore him entirely. Sometimes people post things that irk me, but I choose to ignore them and move on, advancing the conversation, and not get hung up on one small thing I don't agree with.
