  1. When I first saw this, I thought it was SUCH a shocking swerve!!
  2. Episode 17: "Tell Me Why" Because I wanna know!! Why why why???
  3. Here we go for the last time!! Recap over with, Episode 16: "The Girl Can't Help It!" Let's plunge in, shall we?
  4. Figured we could use a thread (maybe pin this, Luuv?) that talks about the Marathon Stream's overall format structure! It's actually pretty simple: Friday @ 6:30 PM NEW Pre-Flight! Friday 6:30 PM through Monday 8 AM (61.5 hours) - Pre-Flight followed by Toonami as seen on TV 4 weeks ago Monday 8 AM through Wednesday 6:30 PM (58.5 hours) - Pre-Flight followed by Marathon Phase 1 (episodes 1-5, episodes 11-15, or the first 5 of the most recent 10 episodes of a long-running series to air on TV), running through twice before starting over with Pre-Flight Wednesday 6:30 PM through Friday 6:30 PM (48 hours) - Pre-Flight followed by Marathon Phase 2 (episodes 6-10, episodes 16-20, or the most recent 5 episodes of a long-running series to air on TV), running through twice before starting over with Pre-Flight Please note: Pre-Flight starts the cycle over EVERY DAY at 6:30 PM!
  5. Sometime tomorrow (maybe 3:30ish to 5:30ish PM) I'll be covering the last 5 episodes of the show to be on the Marathon Stream!
  6. http://www.broadcastingcable.com/news/programming/disney--picks-pok-mon-series-films/161248 No more anime on the CN portion of CN/[as], at least for now. Who knows if DB Super and YJ3 will end up there now? With CN finally giving up Pokémon to Disney after 19 years, anything is possible now!
  7. Finally: Episode 15" Don't Stop Me Now" Ben Diskin totally made this character! I still laugh at his utterly hilarious portrayal! Gotta admit, this thing is pretty tacky! Let the showdown begin!!!
  8. Last chance this week to see Episode 14 "Ride Like The Wind!" So get your fill of all the zany comedy and slapstick action insanity one last time!
  9. On now: Episode 13 "Crazy For You" I wouldn't trust him! Now revealing our new fall fashion line! The cute face of evil!
  10. Episode 12 "Spit Your Sadness Away" is on now! Let it rain... Also, Mako's fam to the rescue!!
  11. Damn, they used a LOT of GIFs from Episode 11 during the rerun back in January! Here's another one: Yes, Senketsu, overwhelmingly bad!
  12. Starting now is the last run-though of Episodes 11-15! CRANK IT UP!!!
  13. SHOW AVERAGES SO FAR Dragonball Z Kai - 1,377,978 (93 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 1,051,750 (4 episodes) Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - 959,286 (21 episodes) Hunter × Hunter - 924,556 (27 episodes) Naruto: Shippuden - 894,532 (135 episodes) One Piece - 806,685 (161 episodes) One Punch Man Rerun - 657,333 (3 episodes) ADULTS 18-49 Dragonball Z Kai - 794,495 (93 episodes) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 635,000 (4 episodes) Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - 570,857 (21 episodes) Hunter × Hunter - 543,333 (27 episodes) Naruto: Shippuden - 493,561 (135 episodes) One Piece - 438,410 (161 episodes) One Punch Man Rerun - 405,333 (3 episodes) ADULTS 18-34 (Estimated) Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 404,500 (4 episodes) Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - 377,095 (21 episodes) Well, it's looking pretty bad for Gundam IBO to make it above 400K 18-34, at least in its first season, and JoJo is also about to fall below that number if things don't change. But hopefully they will next week!
  14. Yeah, I'm noticing a pattern: 2013 - Month of Movies I - Huge Success! 2014 - Month of Movies II - Huge Disappointment 2015 - Intruder II - Huge Success! 2016 - Intruder III - Slight Disappointment Good thing the movie was also a slight success; maybe we can go full-circle?
  15. http://programminginsider.com/ratings/final-nationals/saturday-final-nationals-major-upsets-college-football-leads-abc-victory-foxs-rise/ 12:00 AM Dragon Ball Z Kai - 1,346,000 (83.50%) 12:30 AM Jojo's Bizarre Adventure 1,041,000 (77.34%) 1:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans - 895,000 (85.98%) 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter - 781,000 (87.26%) 2:00 AM Naruto: Shippuden - 740,000 (94.75%) 2:30 AM One Piece - 645,000 (87.16%) 3:00 AM One-Punch Man (encore) - 577,000 (89.46%) TOTAL VIEWERS AVERAGE - 860,714 12:00 AM Dragon Ball Z Kai - 763,000 (84.62%) 12:30 AM Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - 614,000 (80.47%) 1:00 AM Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans - 531,000 (86.48%) 1:30 AM Hunter × Hunter - 460,000 (86.63%) 2:00 AM Naruto: Shippuden - 424,000 (92.17%) 2:30 AM One Piece - 367,000 (86.56%) 3:00 AM One-Punch Man (encore) - 339,000 (92.37%) ADULTS 18-49 AVERAGE - 499,714 Well, I guess this one rounded up to 500K 18-49 on the skin of its teeth. DBZ Kai and everything from HxH to OP was down from last week; OPM up but only because it compared with the rated portion of Children Who Chase Lost Voices, which was technically an hour later in the night. JoJo and Gundam gained, but only by 1K each. Intruder III just hasn't been as successful for Toonami as Intruder II, but I guess that's OK since it's sort of a transition. College Football has been an ever-present thorn in Toonami's side, and huge matches in Boxing (11/5) and UFC (11/12) didn't help, either. Hopefully 11/19 will do better, since most of the big teams have wuss opponents and there's no UFC or boxing.
  16. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/saturday-cable-ratings-nov-12-2016/ Well, One Piece didn't even make the Top 100, and H×H getting beat by YPFIGTH at 3:45 AM Friday night is just awful! http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/daily-ratings/sunday-cable-ratings-nov-13-2016/ One-Punch Man didn't make it, but some played-out garbage on NAN did!
  17. Well, I can say definitively that despite overall numbers for both shows being up and 18-49's being flat, 18-34's were WAY down this week: 11/12/2016 JoJo's Bizzare Adv. Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.53 Estimated 18-34 - 360,000 Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.48 Estimated 18-49 - 610,000 Total Viewers - 1,041,000 11/12/2016 Gundam IBO Adults 18-34 Rating - 0.46 Estimated 18-34 - 313,000 Adults 18-49 Rating - 0.41 Estimated 18-49 - 521,000 Total Viewers - 895,000 Yeah, I'd say that's probably the influence of UFC alright. JoJo just isn't turning out to be this God-tier show everyone thought it would be, at least not so far. DBZ Kai at this point in the game had only averaged 1016K/540K, however, and no one in their right mind wouldn't call that "God-tier!" We'll find out how well everything else did later today, but looks like a pretty bad night overall for Toonami.
  18. What's amusing is how many people are watching this week! I seldom see the weekend Toonami Stream go above 100 viewers, but this reached 471 at 1 AM last night, and right now, a little after 11 AM on a Tuesday, it's being watched by like 262!
  19. So this has now become the Annoying Politics Debate thread?! Well maybe Trump will show up in DB Super and make this semi-relevant. That would be funny! He was actually in an episode of Beavis and Butt-Head from the 2011 revival, BTW
  20. No doubt about it, veteran voice actor Tony Oliver nailed the part in both the wacky Tobi and the super-serious Madara! ...that IS Tony Oliver, right?? NOPE! It's someone I've never heard of named Neil Kaplan! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7293 Weird that I've never heard of him; after all, he WAS Yamamoto in Bleach, and has a ton of other roles too! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=4823
  21. "...Rosario X Vampire..." Desu? But no, who really has a clue what this series will be replaced with? It also depends on the length of [as] contract with Viz. It MIGHT be just a 6-month contract, in which case, it would need to be done by January 16th. By my math that would lead to it needing to complete January 14th. I'm thinking Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve would probably be pure marathons, but maybe not? If Children Who Chase Lost Voices gets a rerun, you could follow that with a mini-marathon of 2-4 episodes of One-Punch Man. We would get to #7 by December 17th, and #8 and #9 could follow after CWCLV on December 24th, then 10-12 finish the run (as those 3 episodes BELONG back-to-back-to-back at LEAST Once in an edition of Toonami expanded to 4:30 AM on 1/7/17. So who knows what will follow OPM and when? It could happen as early as 1/14/17, or as late as 2/11/17 assuming only one rerun is played a night and none are aired on weekends in which the normal block is pre-empted for marathons!
