taking a training course when you already know most of the material

it's mostly for a refresher on some stuff but I have to go through topics I'm already very familiar with. it is incredibly distracting. every few minutes in the videos of topics I already know i keep asking "why the fuck would anyone do it like that, there's a way better way"

there are labs and stuff i have to do too. some of the instructions i've ignored and just did things my own way. it doesn't really seem to care how i do it
