tsar4
If you intend to give, you may want to wait until Tuesday to see if there will be matching. Some credit cards may match donations and some employers may as well if you donate through their sites. Feel free to add. https://www.charitynavigator.org/ - check out a charity for how much per dollar goes to those in need. * ratings for the charities listed are as of 11/30/2019. https://www.americares.org/ - **** 8x match through 12/6 https://www.stjude.org/ - **** https://www.redcross.org/ - *** (those who are willing/can could also donate blood) https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/ - **** https://www.worldwildlife.org/ - *** https://theoceancleanup.com/donate/ - (too new - not rated) https://www.aspca.org/ - *** https://whitefeatherfoundation.com/ - (too new - not rated) https://amazonwatch.org/ - ***

tsar4
Just a heads up. There have been a number of reports on the news about scammers making look-alike websites for well-known charities. They are also apparently sending out emails, as my Mom just received one where a charity was going to plant a tree for every $10,000 donated - going directly to the actual charity website without clicking the email link, it's a tree per $10 donated. Be sure the site you're on is valid, and go directly to the site. Don't trust any email click-thru.
